DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Happy Sunday. Finished my morning job and made it home to watch Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. Only one other park player? Epcot next?

Replete with Uncle Louis Stogies and an offering from the Jello of the month club. My missus has a lot of patience for my nonsense...

Mine won't let me smoke a cigar around her. So, I have to wait for a travel trip and good weather.

I’m in and have been smitten for years. I am 69 years old and love it!!

Welcome. Dues are payable in dole whips, beer, bacon, or bourbon. You mail 868 to me and I mail to everyone else. It's a fool proof plan.

3. Stop and feel the "home" feeling when first seeing the castle.

Love that idea. ::yes:: Didn't know you could get multiple lines for it.

That's gonna be tough for a while still. Not sure when the date is for reopening it.

Serious question. Do you fit? I've heard that Astro is extremely tight for adults and as a result, I've never ridden it... but wanted to for the night views.

As for Astro Orbiter, I used to fit. I also was able to fit with one of my children when they were younger. I haven't rode in past few years as the lines were too long.

As for monorail, you would have to be able to build your own raised platforms. I don't think you can switch tracks with it though. But, I could imagine a fairly large layout in a 10 X 10 room.

Update: had I stayed outside doing my Christmas decorations 30 minutes later, I would have taken a much better picture of this guy running down my street. I’m calling him Chris Moose. Canada, eh? 🇨🇦View attachment 455895

It all started with a moose? :lmao:

Do-able.

Hmmm... switch tracks... the real monorails do it... so... must be possible? Unless it's car controlled vs track controlled? Hmmm... Google search coming up...

Morning Dads! Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Wednesday for me was just as I thought it was going to be: Crazy busy! Everyone had to ship something out before the long weekend, so I spend most of the day in the warehouse helping those guys with prepping all the shipping that was going to happen. Well, have a good day, everyone.

Those of you on the Faceplace already know about this, for those of you who do not, I've just added this to post one on page one and thought I would add it here so you all know:

The DISDADS are very active with Give Kids The World Village! Not only do we donate all year long, we also take a day out of our Annual DisDads Club Convention (DDCC) to work at Give Kids The World Village.
If you would like to help by donating, please go to this website.

Top O the Mornin Dads! Looks like everyone enjoyed Thanksgiving and the time off from the day jobs.
Had a little scare in the morning. I was told to just take it easy and was relieved of my duties for the day.
You OK Darcy? Hoping nothing major.

Hey dads! Anyone ever need to take a class/read something for work that you need to do in order to advance, etc but just don't have the drive to do it? I'm in that boat right now with my medical coding. I need to re-start my studying again in order to get certified so I can change careers, and hopefully get more money, but man I just can't seem to get motivated. Don't get me wrong, I've been studying, but not like I should, so I need help. What are some things that you guys have used to get motivated? I'm trying to use my current situation, which is helping, but I need something more. Any ideas? Thanks, guys!
