I just want to say you are one brave and awesome Grandma for taking 2 littles to WDW by yourself! I know you have them a lot so are used to them, but still, I wouldn't want to do it if I was a younger mom alone. lol Hope you have a great trip with them though!

I've had children by myself for many years, so it's nothing new for me. My youngest's (now 27) father passed when she was 10 months old, and I was divorced from the father of the two oldest. The two oldest's father was military so first, long deployments at sea, and then after the divorce, long deployments. I got used to getting it done. I am getting older so it's more necessary to be organized when they are around - otherwise my trips are do what I feel like when I feel like it. I was also a people manager of 250 in my working years (without getting too specific because I don't really want to identify myself), so used to herding cats, lol.

However I've realized I can't drive the Niro, so it will be the gas guzzler. But the van has the space needed inside to carry the large stroller, carry a case of water, a large cooler with kid snacks and drinks and as much clothing as necessary. Plus the kids tablets, and a few stuffed animals, etc, and it allows me to climb inside before fastening them in. The valet/bellhops will love to see me coming at BW!

The Niro will go in February.

Hilton charged us $182 for our stay that we booked through chase. I’m not sure how that happened. I’m chatting with someone right now

ETA: They weren’t able to help through chat. Dh is on hold with the actual hotel.

Phew they fixed it!

Well the don’t have all of their shots til like 5 haha.
And they don’t get the mmr til 12 or 18 months. The first big series is complete at 6 months, and that includes whooping cough and this your kid probably isn’t ever going to get like diptheria.

The good thing about a month is that you can basically keep them in a carrier or the stroller with a light blanket over the top and they won’t be exposed to too much. But I guess a month is pretty small for something as big as Disney. My second kid was at the Lego discovery center by a month but that’s a much smaller place.

@Haley R - I attended most of the grand babies earlier trips to their pediatrician. I tried to talk daughter into a January Disney trip after the first was born on New Years Eve. Back to work was 6 weeks - so pediatrician said 'yes' go have fun! She said it will be the easiest time you travel with them. Daughter said no dice. Tried again for the second, again doctor was fine with going to Disney - daughter would have none of it. Daughter was flying at 7 weeks and we definitely traveled further than your ride to Disney at early ages of 2 weeks and 4 weeks as our pediatrician was quite a distance at the time. My next 2 kids didn't travel as much.

Why did she say no? If the doctor says it’s okay and the baby has most of the shots I would consider going.

I’d be a little nervous taking the baby that early to Disney. I feel like a lot of stuff gets spread around there easily. I can always ask the pediatrician what she/he thinks. I plan to carry the baby majority of the time.

We took DD at just over 5 months - including an international flight from the UK. First haircut in the MK and fabulous trip (mainly for DS4). No problems whatsoever, but DD has always been a good traveler.

There was a husband to consider and he had to work. She was a new mother, albeit an older one, and I guess she just wanted to stay close to home. A Disney trip was nothing new to her - we've had DVC since 2000, so it wasn't a priority. I wanted to go to get away from snow and dreary weather in January and February in Maryland, same thought I have every year. She's been twice with me in the last three years since then.

Oh no! Plastiq will stop accepting MCGCs starting 1/1/20. (VGCs didn’t work on Plastiq already.)
MCGCs often process as debit cards on Plastiq and incur only a 1% fee, which combined with savings from store promotions and points earned on category bonuses made paying bills via this method profitable.

Hi Lain,

We would like to let you know about a change to our service that may affect you.

As of January 1, 2020, Plastiq will no longer support payments made with personal prepaid debit cards. However, payments made with business prepaid debit cards and payroll cards will continue to be accepted.

After this date, all scheduled payments made with personal prepaid cards will be declined by Plastiq. Starting January 2020, you will be unable to add a personal prepaid debit card to a Plastiq account.

From now until January 1, 2020, a limit of $7,500 in total payments will be enforced on Plastiq accounts that continue to utilize this payment method. Once this limit is reached on your account, further payments using a personal prepaid debit card will be rejected.

This change does not impact any payments made with credit or debit cards on the Discover, Mastercard, Visa, and American Express networks.

We apologize for any inconvenience that may result from this policy update. If you have any questions or need assistance with your payments, please reach out to our service team via live chat on our website or by email at service@plastiq.com.

Best,
The Plastiq Team

I’m already planning on doing the first haircut there. That’s so cute! I think we would go even earlier than 5 months. I just want to make sure the baby doesn’t get any sicknesses and has the shots first

It's the most bizarre riot of a show ever.
It's 100% him and I will be blown away if anyone else is under that mask. I watched a lot of Idol back in the day and I'd recognize his inflection anywhere.
Alright guys I’m going to be thinking about you tomorrow at the big finale. My daughter LOVES this show even though she doesn’t know any of the people. She and I have a standing Wednesday night date to watch. The Rottweiler is excellent and Daughtry is a solid guess. We’ll see.

Picked up $800 in VGC at Staples tonight. First the cashier says, oh you can only buy one of these. Ok (even though there was no sign!). Then after she rings up the first one, she starts to rip off the strip on the second one. So it was ok if she rang them up separately. That way her manager wouldn't know she sold more than one to a customer. She said another guy comes in and buys a few at a time and she does this for him as well. I was a little worried I'd get a fraud alert - are you really spending $200 in 4 separate transactions at Staples within 5 minutes! She made a point to let me know about the survey at the bottom of the receipt. I filled it out 4 times for her. Hopefully she is there Thursday. I'll probably stop in again because I have to go to Best Buy (next door) to pick up an order.

I stopped by my local Staples today too.... bought $1,000 in VGCs...since the cashier is one I know doesn’t says anything....I’ve found there is only one at that store that limits me to one....
