Joy in the World ~ a magical Christmas weekend! real life update 04/07

That was such a fun night! I'm so glad you came over and hung out with us! I still can't believe that CM! She was on a power trip for sure!
You guys were so fun to hang out with! Thanks for including me and being so sweet!
You will love owning at Boulder Ridge, Dan and I truly loved our stay!
I am so excited! I just booked my first DVC stay but sadly Boulder Ridge wasn't available. I did snag 3 nights at Copper Creek though so am happy with that. My oldest DS and I are doing a mother/son trip to celebrate his 20th bday. :)
Here's the picture from Tony's!
Love it!

Christmas in Hollywood!

I was awake bright and early on my last Disney day and quickly packed up my things and headed over to the lobby in hopes of finding Bell Services. I waited in a long line at the front desk only to find out that Bell Services is actually outside. Oh well! I dropped off my luggage and headed towards Everything Pop to fill up my coffee and grab the Disney breakfast of champions, a yummy danish. I don't typically eat danishes at home but there is just something about them at Disney that is so, so delicious! Walking quickly over to the Skyliner, I hopped aboard with no wait and was at Hollywood Studios front gate within 15 minutes. What an awesome way to travel!

As Rise of the Resistance had opened only 10 days before, crowd levels were incredibly high and the standby lines were long. I had two things I wanted to accomplish, ride ToT since it was down when I was there in July and take in all the Christmas decor. ToT was showing only a 25 minute wait so I thought I might be able to sneak in RnRC in the single rider line as well but sadly one of the elevators went down as I was waiting and my time went up to 50 minutes! Not what I was hoping for but it was well worth it. We had a super fun series of drops and the theming is always my favourite.

I strolled through the main areas taking in all the quirky, vintage decor. It was perfectly on theme and I absolutely loved it all.

Is this the Coca Cola Santa?

Gertie was adorable in all her Christmas glory!

I was obsessed with these fawns.....

I had a fastpass coming up for Kiliminjaro safaris so I made my way over to the bus stop. Before too long an Animal Kingdom bus pulled up and I was on my way. Are you even at AK if you don't take a picture of the Tree of Life??

I always love the waterways and lush landscaping at AK. It's one of the many things that make this my favourite park.

Up next... a safari, a show, an unexpected ride and the most delicious last day Disney lunch!

Great picture of you and Cloe, I didn't realize you guys were matching lol!

I don't typically eat danishes at home but there is just something about them at Disney that is so, so delicious!
Same here. I love them but don't eat them at home, but a cheese Disney danish is something special 😁

I may have said this before but the Christmas decorations at HS are my favorite of all the parks, I love the vintage theme! Ugh for the TOT wait but glad you got on.

Sorry your TOT wait was so long. I can only imagine how busy the park must have been with RotR just opening!

Ooh, looking forward to hearing about this delicious last Disney lunch. :goodvibes

Lovely DHS morning and AK right after, love this type of day!
The Tree of Life is so wonderful, always a great photo opportunity!

What a lovely morning! The Skyliner really can't be beat in terms of travel! I do hope they expand the service in the future!

I know, right??? I think we were matching with dozens of other people at the party too. We should have got Dan in the picture too as he had the Mickey version of the sweater on.

There is just something about them. no other danish tastes as good.

I loved the decor at HS! Definitely a long wait but worth it. :goodvibes

I have never seen HS so crowded! It was unbearable. I really hope things will settle down with the new tiered system being introduced.
Ooh, looking forward to hearing about this delicious last Disney lunch.
It was super simple but yummy!

It's always worth it for me to get up early and enjoy as much as possible before the heat and crowds descend. Like you, I like an afternoon's respite back at the resort so early mornings are worth it.

I've heard rumours that they are expanding to AK/AKL and really hope they are true

Love the photo of you and Cloe in your Christmas jumpers :goodvibes
Shame about the ToT wait but glad you got to ride at least. Looking forward to hearing where you had lunck at AK . It's such a pretty park-I too love the waterways :)

I ADORE HS for at Christmas. I think it was my favorite park in terms of how they use all the vintage. SUPER reminds me of my childhood going to my great aunt's home with tinsel on the tree and the celluloid decorations.

Yes, I do believe that's the Coca Cola Santa. ;)

AK overall is my favies. Everything about it is just beautiful, inspiring, wild, exciting. A perfect package! I love to just wander around doing nothing with a drink in hand, and the snack options are the BEST!

Love all your MGM Christmas pictures. It is unquestionably my least favorite park, but at Christmas it springs to #1 and truly earns its MGM moniker. Quirky, vintage, and Christmas are so my holiday aesthetic!

Thanks Moira! It was so fun to meet Cloe and Dan, they are sweet! Going to AK makes me happy, I always find something new to do and see.

It was so fun to see all the vintage decor! I wish I had more time to explore but I will be back again! :)

Same! We would be great AK park buddies.

D'oh!!
I dropped off my luggage
I pictured this as you dumping your bags where you were standing and merrily going off to the parks. You'll deal with that later!

You can say that about a lot of Disney food!

Wow. That's... wow!

Nice! But...

Sure looks like one.

 I like that!

Nope!

It wasn't marked well at all and I was annoyed for wasting time standing there.

I was tempted, lol!
You can say that about a lot of Disney food!
::yes::
Wow. That's... wow!
It was wonderful, it is so easy to get around. :)
 I like that!
So cute!

Also, tell me all about this wonderful new ticker! Sounds like fun. :)
Well, my mom is getting up there and she's always said she wanted to do an Alaskan cruise. My dad's not been interested and now couldn't go. So I asked if she'd like to go with me. My sister found out and now it's the three of us. :)

That's great! Anything that gets me to the park faster than the bus system is a win in my book!

Loving the park hopping!

Sorry the line on ToT ended up longer than expected and kept you from doing much in DHS, but at least you did get to check out the decorations.
