I actually called Fed Loan twice yesterday and got through to people both times immediately. No wait at all. I called twice because the first rep recommended it would be faster to have my bank reverse the transaction. I hung up and called Bank of America and it was an hour and a half wait! I called Fed Loan back and got someone immediately again and she initiated the refund. I did have a coworker email them and has not gotten a response. The two reps I spoke to yesterday seemed knowledgeable and were able to easily answer my questions and refund the payment.
Weird, the couple times I have tried to call I get a message saying the offices are closed because of Coronavirus. But maybe it is because I’m trying to talk to them about PSLF (which are specific call center people) and not just about my account. But I have zero interest in talking to someone who doesn’t know what they are talking about with regards to PSLF, the people who are designated PSLF people have a hard enough time having the right information. I really can’t wait to be done!

Working from home the first week was weird but fine. Working from home this week was weird and very much not fine! I worked very late on Tuesday and then started work late on Wednesday and Thursday (but still got everything done and was available at my scheduled times!). I normally don’t work Fridays but today had a couple meetings, then a two hour nap, then dealt with a couple phone calls and emails - all very necessary and it was only a couple hours of work, but it is so NOT my normal routine. It is so hard to put up appropriate boundaries and maintain productivity when doing work is as easy as answering a call on my personal cell or clicking a few buttons on my laptop to remote in to my work computer. I’m going to have to try harder next week as it looks like we will be dealing with a shelter in place order at least through the end of the month. And my side gig is officially canceled through at least August or so, and it’s questionable if I’ll even be invited back when they do open up.

I'm keeping a routine, same hours m-f as I'm supposed to. And the work laptop stays off outside those hours and my phone is set to do not disturb during non work hours because I normally have it on silent all the time but can't with my work phone forwarded to my cell.

My problem isn't doing work when I shouldn't, I'll only get paid for 8 hours and I don't give my time for free, it's that working from home when I'm not busy like the past few days, makes it very easy to not do the busy work projects I need to finish within the next 4 weeks. It also didn't help that Tues or Wed, I can't even remember now, was just awful with connection issues and stuff, so it was all down hill from there. This is the end of week 3 though the first week only had 4 days at home and at least 4 more to go. Woo :cheer2: :surfweb: :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2: :badpc: :badpc: :badpc: :happytv:

Anyone watch Onward? I see it's up on Disney + now. Is is good?

Not yet, thinking at least a trial for Disney+ will be in the cards in the next week or so as tv shows end early. I think the Delta 2 week trial is still good so I'll use that. Also need to do netflix again so I can watch the newest season of the crown, never got around to it with all the books I was reading when it came out.

So, I wasn't really sure what to select in the phone tree when I called yesterday so I went with the "can't make my payments" option thinking that might be closest to getting a refund. I can't imagine why that line would get through to someone faster since I'm sure there are a lot of people who legitimately can't make a payment right now. But both times, someone picked up immediately. I understand what you mean about getting info right on PSLF. I'm paranoid about checking my requirements and payment plan. If they don't count these next 6 months towards it, I'll be the named plaintiff in the class action suit against the DOE :rotfl2:

I’ll be right there with you. But I just have this nagging feeling come September the only place I am going to be is 6 months behind in qualifying payments. It almost makes me want to take the auto suspension off and just pay.

But they have already screwed me out of over a year’s worth of payments that I kind of like the feeling that I’m getting some of those back now :rolleyes1

I understand what you mean. I’m going to take the risk and see what happens. I figure worst case scenario is they don’t count, but I’m not out any money. I mean, technically I’m out whatever the increase in my payment would be at my salary five years from now when I’m having to make up those payments, but I don’t anticipate changing jobs or getting a big salary bump so I doubt it will be huge.

Ugh, that sucks. I’m thankful they’ve been good on mine. I think I’m technically missing one or two with them putting a temporary forbearance on my account one time when I changed jobs and had problems with recertiftying income, but other than that I’m currently sitting at 59 :cool1:

Just ordered a set of cloth napkins so we will see how that goes. Also some "metal" ball push pins and a set of dragonfly (jewelry) charms. Planning to stick the push pin heads through the loop on the charm for some cute, decorative push pins.

And a small 12x12 black-framed cork board to start my Disney pin collection. Well, technically I have the pins... sitting in a Disneyland bag on my desk! Not sure how many of them a 12x12 board will hold but it'll be a start.

Almost $60 more toward that MSR!

My mom and I talked on the phone tonight for almost two hours. We just Skyped with them less than a week ago but we kept coming up with things to talk about. She said she knows someone who just had a baby and the hospital said no visitors at their house for 3 weeks. I had actually been wanting to mention to my parents about no one coming until after his two month vaccines. Dh and I were both nervous about their reactions and didn’t want them to get upset but she was fully onboard. It makes me feel so much better about our decision. It’ll be sad for them not to come but in the end the health of our baby is the first priority. We may have to fly to see them for thanksgiving and Christmas instead.

Anyone have any suggestions for online places that sell puzzles (1,000 piece or more)? Amazon is pretty much wiped out. I managed to find two at our local Barnes and Noble (you can order online for pickup) but we are going to "need" more. I am so wishing that I had bought the 40,000+ piece Disney puzzle last Christmas.

Not sure of ones that large, but DD and I are working on smaller Disney ones (some bought from shop Disney and some from Amazon). I know I used to get a catalog for a shop called Bits & Pieces that sold puzzles, but that was a long time ago and I don't know it they still exist.

We buy a bunch of the Ravenburger Disney ones from B&N and Amazon. Amazon had a ton in stock a few days ago when I looked. Are they sold out already?? Crazy! We're doing a Thomas Kincade Disney one now. It's only 750 pieces but those are so hard that I swear they feel like 5000 pieces lol.

Not sure how big they are but I'm pretty sure I've seen puzzles at Michaels, maybe at Joanns. Both seem to be offering curbside pick up but you may have to call the order in. Not sure, I keep deleting the email's and ignoring the push notifications because I don't have a need at the moment.

We did a beauty and the beast Thomas kinkade as our first puzzle and I think it ruined puzzles for us lol
