Ahhhh. And there’s the fine print I was looking for. “May not be combined with any other discount or promotion.” So I can’t use the “sun and fun” promo with the free dining. Which would make it a wash in terms of savings, if not more expensive.

I briefly looked into it for giggles since we're eligible and it's just the regular (silly, imo) "free" dining offer with a more lenient ticket requirement on the package. We were booked CL on an AP room discount, no way would this be anything but a sucker bet for us. I feel that way about "free" dining in general though.

Yep. This is treated just like any other free dining offer in that you cant combine with a room discount, except that the ticket requirement is much lower than it's been in recent years - you only need a 2 day ticket. This offer only helped 1 of my clients save money. We had an Easter trip booked that we initially moved to end of May, but then moved again to July. was hoping for something to help with the 5 rooms we have booked and this offer just didnt do much. All 5 rooms are a combination of AP holders and those using military ticket, many of whom will not return for another trip for quite a while. So even being able to use the 2 day tickets towards future trip or AP renewal is not really a great option. Hoping they open up more AP room discounts for July.....if we even get to take that trip.

I bought some 500 pc ones that come 4 to a box. All Kinkaid and all Disney. I have 3 boxes, so 12, and I love them all. :goodvibes
Hmmmm, you know what? I have some of these, I totally forgot. A few years back dd was in love with the Kincaid Rapunzel art, but I didn't feel like spending the money on the print. So I got her the 4 pack of puzzles that had that one. She put it together and we framed it. The other three are still in the box somewhere in my closet LOL.

I don't know how to multi quote so I'll just ask....DH and I are working on a 750 piece puzzle,it's been weeks but I'm not a big puzzle person...what's the puzzle rules? Are we supposed to use the pic on the box to put it together? Or just piece it together by the shapes?
Are there rules?! I love puzzles and I like to challenge myself so I try not to use the image too much. My family prefers to do edges first while I would much rather just start anywhere and build around, that would be a real challenge. They win though since they outnumber me.

We love puzzles and almost always have one in works on the dining room table and we’ll sit down for 15 mins here and there. I don’t care for the Thomas Kincaid puzzles...too difficult. For Disney, I like Ravensburg and we just got one of the Villians theme and really like it, although it is pretty challenging.

For non-Disney, I really like White Mountain. They have some fun themes such as candy bars, cereals, books, etc. and their pieces are big and fit together well. Nothing drives me crazy more than when it’s so easy to mistake two pieces go together and they don’t but you can’t tell.

I got a different brand from my brother for Christmas and I couldn’t even tell what was all the straight edge pieces. I finished that puzzle and then gave it away.

Not weird. We never did the typical stereotype toys at our house. DD and DS loved Legos equally. There are some off brands you can get if the price is too much. DS spent a lot of time playing with DD’s hand me down Veterinarian Barbie.
DH was a SAHP when DS was little. I loved it when DS once said “when I grow up maybe I’ll be the one to work in my family”. He had no gender biased ideas.

I totally agree!! Many a time after driving through at McDonalds and being asked if we wanted the boys toy or the girls toy, I would tell my kids, there's no such thing as a girls toy or boys toy!

I'm keeping a routine, same hours m-f as I'm supposed to. And the work laptop stays off outside those hours and my phone is set to do not disturb during non work hours because I normally have it on silent all the time but can't with my work phone forwarded to my cell.

My problem isn't doing work when I shouldn't, I'll only get paid for 8 hours and I don't give my time for free, it's that working from home when I'm not busy like the past few days, makes it very easy to not do the busy work projects I need to finish within the next 4 weeks. It also didn't help that Tues or Wed, I can't even remember now, was just awful with connection issues and stuff, so it was all down hill from there. This is the end of week 3 though the first week only had 4 days at home and at least 4 more to go. Woo :cheer2: :surfweb: :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2: :badpc: :badpc: :badpc: :happytv:

Not yet, thinking at least a trial for Disney+ will be in the cards in the next week or so as tv shows end early. I think the Delta 2 week trial is still good so I'll use that. Also need to do netflix again so I can watch the newest season of the crown, never got around to it with all the books I was reading when it came out.
I didn’t love The Crown - modern royalty drives me crazy - but I just read a novel called The Other Windsor Girl about Lrincess Margaret and it was really good. It’s more or less the time the second season of the crown covers (but it’s not affiliated with the series).

We do the edges first, then distinct chunks of the inside.

Ravensburg all the way for quality. If the pieces don’t fit well, it’s a non-starter. I’m going to have to try White Mountain. We love puzzles and when we moved to my parents, it was one of the few items we brought with us. Unfortunately, with school and work from home, we are using every flat surface except the dining table (which we use for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day) for computers and work areas for 7 of us. We have time for puzzles and nowhere to make them
[/QUOTE]

I never thought of puzzles having rules. I would use the picture and the shapes.

One thing we got hooked on a long time ago was 3D puzzles, sort of like legos when you think but it was puzzle pieces. We did two houses and then tried to do St Paul's Cathedral. The large dome and turrets! Never did finish. Thinking of trying to find where we stored it and pull it back out and see if we can now finish.

Oooo. I want to see Yesterday. Though now with the library closed not sure where I can find it for free. Is it on any of the streaming services?
I think amazon has everything, some things you pay for to stream.

Let's see, where do I jump in.
Just got back from Target, by golly I got TP and hand sanitizer! I wanted to get one for my son too, but now the limit is one. I am not out of either yet, but I got one of each, since who knows how long all this will actually last.
I also saw more people than before wearing masks, but not at all the majority. 20% maybe? If that.
Is it a law now to wear a mask in a store? I thought I heard that last night.... or does it depend on location?

The CDC suggested last night we all wear a face covering ( can be a bandana, scarf etc) while out..due to people having the virus with no symptoms being out and inadvertently spreading it ...it’s not a law
I'm wondering if some stores (thinking Trader Joe's) will require them to shop.

Mine won't get here for a week or so. Ordered a black and white polka dot one. I'll probably improvise until it gets here.

On Wednesday I went to our local supermarket...I’d say about 50% were wearing masks.
No plans on going out again until the end of April, I have enough in the house for 3 weeks worth of meals, plus DH likes to do take out once or twice a week. The peak here in NY is supposed to come in the next 7 days...LI is now a hot spot per our governor

As I stated earlier DH is an engineer and we will just say he makes puzzles no fun. lol OMG he is obsessive about how the pieces get sorted and how we are only allowed to work on one of his sorts at a time. I am an engineer also, but our brains do not work the same way! lol But looking at the pic is definitely part of the strategy for us. We had a Wicked puzzle once where probably half the pieces were solid black. That was NO fun. We ended up putting that thing back in the box before it was finished.
One Christmas my dad received a puzzle that looked like a puddle of red paint--the hardest puzzle ever omg :rotfl:

My parents were really into those 3D puzzles, especially when it was a place they had visited on their travels. My sisters and I split the (disassembled) puzzles when we had to sell their house a few years back. I should pull one out for us to work on!

I was just at Sams and Kroger. Spent $200 at one and $250 at the other. Eeek. Hope it lasts awhile, but don't really feel like i bought all that much. I swear Kroger had no sales. Anyway, I would say maybe 10 people tops in each store with masks. I was one of them. The rest where in pairs or more and just doing their regular lolly gagging shopping. I was on a mission, knew what I wanted and was in and out. Well as fast as you can be in and out spending that much. lol Many older couples, many kids etc.
