Debt Dumpers 2020

I just read this and thought of your comment.
I know what you mean. Your day with working at home is probably much more structured than mine. I stay up til 3 am and sleep til 10:30am. Breakfast is at noon, light lunch around 4pm and dinner at 6:30-7.

It really is some kind of time warp! My bff texted me the other day complaining she hadn't talked to me in so long and I'm like....we just talked 2 days ago. 🤣🤣🤣 she had completely forgot.

Happy mother's day to all the moms, single dads who are moms, aunts that are like moms, pet moms, soon to be moms, and everyone in between. 💕

Well, no Hamilton performance, I hope they do it next year, as I was really looking forward to seeing it! I received an email about cancelled Hamilton performance in August at the Kennedy Center with options to donate, exchange for a GC, or refund.

Waiting to hear if our neighborhood pool will be closed this summer, I kind of think it will be. At least for June, anyway. Will see.

I was suppose to see Hamilton for a second time in LA in June. We rescheduled our tickets to the end of October in hopes that the theatre will be open by then.

That stinks! But hopefully your performance will be able to happen in October where your theater is. Hamilton is cancelled for the entire 14 week summer program at the Kennedy Center in DC. Haven't seen any news about a reschedule yet if and when. I'm sure at some point it'll be back. I have never seen the performance and was looking forward to it.

Hamilton was suppose to open its second run here in LA back in mid March. It’s suppose to be here through next June I believe. Initially tickets were only on sale through early September then a few weeks before all this started they extended ticket sales through the end of November. They haven’t put anymore dates on sale yet.

speaking of hamilton-

i only just recently learned that my christmas tree has an ornament gifted to me by a young man who in recent years played the role of hamilton on broadway. i did a community theatre production back in '04 and there was the NICEST young male lead in it (11 or 12 at the time) who gifted me with an ornament at the end of the play's run. talented but what impressed me more was that he was so genuinely nice and down to earth (his parents were great-supportive but not stage parent types, a refreshing exception to the norm of what i witnessed over decades of community and professional productions). it's nice to see that some kid's childhood dreams do come true.

We had tickets as well, in July. It was pretty easy to guess that was not happening, but it still was unpleasant getting the official notice. On the upside, I'm seeing orchestra tickets on Broadway late in the year for not much more than we paid for Kennedy Center, assuming of course Broadway is safe to re-open to full capacity by that time.

Last I read was that they are hoping to reopen broadway in September.

I bought the tickets early March, right before things unhinged. I chose August for a date, but not good anyhow. I got my email on the cancellation on May 4th. Broadway would be cool, although we live quite close to the DC area, so Kennedy Center an easy drive or drive/Metro (that is, if open!). No rescheduled dates as of right now.

Wow, I hadn't looked at the rate for a bit. I think it's going to go down even more than that, though.
My guess is it will bottom out around 1% APY. I don’t know how low it got before but that’s what the APY was when I opened my account at the end of 2015. The first time it saw a raise was in mid 2017 and I think it was in relation to the fed hiking its rates for the first time after the 2008/2009 market crash.

Ally just dropped the savings acount interest down to 1.25% APY.
I read that too. Most of our savings are in Ally but I also have a Varo savings account that I accidentally opened when opening a Varo checking account for a bank bonus last year. Their savings is still at 1.61%.
Who knows for how much longer but I think I'm going to transfer a good chunk to Varo. It's nice to have options.

I have a question I'm hoping someone will be able to answer. I'm considering booking my return flights from orlando in November on American airlines. I'd have to book mine and my husband's ticket separately (one through american, one through the chase portal) due to the amount of miles I have. My concern is that if theres some kind of change with our flight, they wont move our reservations together since they arent linked. Does anyone know if american is able to link 2 reservations? Any other issues with this that I'm not thinking of?

Is there any disadvantage to just buying both tickets through Chase and applying point to cover the cost of 1 ticket? I normally do things like this all the time but there's so much uncertainty in the world these days.
