As we slowly emerge from our small bubbles and begin to move out into our new normal I think we need to focus on how we can all help each other out. How can we help get our economy moving again? How can we deal with the cabin fever we're all suffering from while keeping up with our fight to contain COVID-19? I'll try to organize this thread so that the first page can be a reference guide. Please join in and help us support each other!

I know there are lots of people chomping at the bit to get back to Disney, that's a given based on this platform but sadly that's not a real viable option at the moment. I don't want to start a discussion over when that will be possible, there are other threads that are dealing with that. I think it would be helpful if we could share ways to get the Loonie moving again.

Have you found any Made in Canada products that you didn't know existed before? Why not share with everyone here?!
Have you discovered or already know of any Canadian based businesses that you think should be supported? Why not let others know about them?
Do you know of a local eatery that really needs the support instead of a national/international chain? Why not give them a shout out here?
Do you have any suggestion for stay-cation ideas in your area/province? Why not let others know so they can plan trips?

This graphic came from a great website Food Bloggers of Canada They have complied a list of local eateries within each province, good starting point!

I'd just love to be able to travel to the next province woithout having to do a quarantine. I want to... actually need to visit my parents. They aren't doing well. At the same time, I'm afraid of bringing any bugs with me on the plane.

So, I'm hoping to support Air Canada at least once this summer.

Oh, also, if you're in the market for honey, go to your farmer's market, not your supermarket. Get the real stuff I like Dutchman's honey. Or, if your Costco carries it, the Peace River honey is wonderful.

I've used Kinesys sunscreens for a while now. They use a non-aerosol spray, and it feels like it absorbs better than your traditional sunscreens. They also have a reef-safe mineral sunscreen. You know, for when we can fly outside the country and visit places with reefs.

Bonus - they sell Kinesys at MEC.
We love Kinesys. We used to get it from Costco but they’ve quit carrying it at our store. We managed to find some online from Costco last year but it’s good to know MEC has it too.
