It looks like our trip to the Yacht Club, Oct 25-30, might actually be happening. I'm starting to get used to the idea that we are actually going to WDW soon. I am a little worried about the lack of dinner time dining choices in the Epcot area, though. We used to just walk into Epcot for some of our meals and that is out. We also used to count on Crews Cup for at least one meal, and that is out. So is Cape May. We have a lunch reservation at Beaches and Cream, our first time eating there in years, so that is good.
Has anyone had any experience with ordering from room service for dinner? This might be an option one night.
I checked the restaurant list yesterday and it looks like Picabu is the only one that is closed at Swan and Dolphin. Will any restaurants be open at Swan or Dolphin while you are there? That could be an option. You can check on their thread.
Do you have to over ride the thermostat at the Yacht to keep the room cool? If so, how do you do that?
Hi all! Is there a lot of resort-specific merch available at the shop at Yacht Club? I’d love to pick up some stuff when we’re there next month!
That is great! Every WDW resort we have stayed at in the last 4 years the thermostat has a setting of 68 but it felt more like 75 and it would not adjust. We like it cooler and also bring a fan.Nope! You have control over the thermostat here. DH loved it- me not so much when he kept putting it in the 60's just to mess with me!
How is Yacht Club since reopening. We are thinking of making our week at pop into a split stay with Pop and ending with 3 nights at YC. It would be a garden view room. Are there any suggestions on Garden Views that may also have a partial view of the lake or pool? Would love to have a partial water view that is considered a garden view. Do all the rooms have a balcony or will there be a chance we don't get one?
This is a game changer for us!! She will be so excited!! THANK YOU!!!!Yes some of the waffle iron plates are minnie, some are mickey. You don't order at the counter anymore so you get what you get. Odds are high that you'd end up with at least 1 minnie on the plate.
There is definitely a new look to the waffles, they are deep dark brown, they look burnt if you didn't know there was a new mix. But they smell really good and apparently taste like pancakes now. I only took one little bite the other day and frankly can't remember if I liked it or not. It has been a very hectic couple of days. LOL
Our trip is 2 weeks from today. I just logged into my bank account and see a room only reservation charge that looks like ~the charge for 1 night (already paid that when I booked the reservation), and 3 Epcot guest resort charges for 40.94. We are staying 11 nights, so 3 wouldn't make sense. I don't remember this happening on previous trips. Is this normal and I'm just forgetting?
I'm on hold with Disney right now, but the wait time is >30 minutes, so I figured I'd ask.
No charges that I can see in MDE. Still on hold. I'll let you know what I find out. This does sound odd. Maybe checking your room charges in MDE can offer a clue? Please let us know what you find out.
So...I hung up before I got someone, and I'm glad I did. I had a total Monday moment after working all weekend. The $40 entries were credits (not sure what for, but I'll figure that out), and the other was my husband making a surprise reservation at CRT. Whoops. This does sound odd. Maybe checking your room charges in MDE can offer a clue? Please let us know what you find out.
Maybe Premium MB refunds? The $40 entries were credits (not sure what for, but I'll figure that out),
Could be. We have/had Platinum APs, and I know they were going to refund some amount due to the water parks being closed, but I never sat down to figure out what that amount would actually be, so it might be that.Maybe Premium MB refunds?
