I just went on Hotwire and Priceline. I didn’t see anything that was more than a couple dollars cheaper than Disney’s advertised deals. For the minimal savings I’d just book directly through Disney.
There was a Swan PLE deal listed- $120/night (not including resort fee.) That is a pretty good deal, but again the advertised Disney prices are right on par with what’s showing as of now. Have a fun trip!

I've not been seeing anything aside from CBR on PLE for my 1/16-1/23 (and we're doing a split stay so I was searching for 1/16-1/20) and found Disney's rates are cheaper or about the same, soI booked directly with them.

If you have a Disney Visa discount, those rates right now are great. I saw AoA for $111, Pop was $125ish, CSR was $131 standard and some other rooms for GDT that I can't remember the price offhand, but I want to say $150 for standard?
Or there is also a 35% Disney discount I believe for this same time frame as well.

I *believe* you will not get the tower as that is a more expensive booking category. However, there are stories of people asking to upgrade at check in, but your mileage may vary. Congrats! Good luck on the upgrade!

You can get the Disney Visa on their website when you checkout. Just go through the booking process and there should be an option to sign up for the card.

Can't get any new credit cards right now. In the process of trying to buy a house. But we got a studio at Beach Club for a pretty good rate. I might add a second room on for comfort since 4 people in a studio is tight space but at least we are going.

@PracticallyPerfect1980 I tend to agree with @MarBee
Also, look to see what your reservation says and you should have an idea ahead of time. When I've booked through PLE and got CSR, once it said, "preferred" (got Casitas), another, "standard" (got Ranchos). If your reservation is for GDT, it would likely say "Tower standard" or something like that I'd guess?

I want to thank you all for discussing great deals here.

I was catching up here and saw ya'll talking about the great VISA deals.

Back in November, when fresh, we had no desire to go anywhere.

We wanted to do some sort of "anti covid boredom/warm weather/low risk" trip in late January and your comments prompted us to book 3 nights at CSR for a relaxing/low key stay.

No parks days for us....just resort hopping/Disney Springs/Skyliner riding/and generally just taking in the lush landscaping and hopefully swimmable weather.

WDW is about 7.5 hours south of us by car so no airplane ride is required.

If the numbers are not sky high, we will go.

If covid is really ugly, we will cancel.

We were very impressed with safety while in the Disney bubble during our trip about 3 weeks ago.
