Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

We’re booked for BC June 19-26 after our may 2020 trip was cancelled. I’m thinking of surprising my DH with a cabana on arrival day as we usually get to the hotel before 11am, can anyone confirm what is currently included with the cabana?

The vast majority of BC resort rooms have the standard bathroom layout of double sinks with a separate room containing the toilet and tub/shower. There are some rooms with the layout that you described, but there aren't too many of them. They tend to be located in odd spaces, like the corner rooms. We have had the single sink layout a few times. Once was a corner room with a king bed. Another time was a king room with a wet bar and queen size sofa bed. Both of these rooms had the smaller, standing balcony, btw. But the odds of getting one of these rooms is very low. :)

Some of the rooms on the top floor tend to be smaller because of the roof line and the dormer balconies.

Weirdly enough the room I was in at BC was a corner king room but it still had the regular bathroom setup. It was standard view but waaay at the end of the resort up against the YC side and one of the windows was an honest to god water view overlooking SAB and the Boardwalk.

Those rooms must be really rare.

We are now booked for June 5-12th at the Beach Club with a total of three rooms. My older sister is taking her four youngest grandchildren and their mothers. It will be the first trip for the kids. I was invited along to help them make the most out of the trip. This was supposed to have happened in June of 2020 with two suites at Art of Animation but got Covid19 canceled. My sister decided that the delay justified bumping up to a deluxe with the great pool and walkability to two parks and the Skyliner!

Now need the resort to open on time!

Just booked YC March 7-8. Going to Flower & Garden festival. Made breakfast reservations at Ale & Compass for the 8th. Very excited!!! Any dinner recommendations for the 7th at YC or in that immediate area? Thanks!

:welcome: to the thread!

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1, Post 15.

:cool1:

Just booked "anticipated marathon weekend" for the BCVs; 1/5/22 - 1/13/22. Hoping that the event goes off in some shape or form but know there will be registration challenges and race restrictions if it takes place. Nonetheless will be back to Disney again, race or no race! And who knows? Maybe another early start for The Festival of the Arts!

I'll add you to the list!

:woohoo:

Us too! Finally back on the roll for BCV's.

Dee could you add us for MickeyT and family January 5th to the 10th 2022!

Will do!!!!!!!

:cheer2:

Which is why people say that when you think you're calling a Disney hotel, you're actually speaking to someone who is at an off-site call center.

Exactly this.

I had someone tell me in Dec that they came to the Beach Club to see the lobby carousel....which the phone CM told him was there.

They are really not a source for any reliable or up to date info.

Nope we asked. Told us they didn’t even have a key because some other dept does the displays. Not sure if that’s true or if they just didn’t want to deal with it.

Are you still there? If so, ask the merchandise manager to get one for you. They 100% have the key. I've gotten stuff from the window displays before and the merchandise manager had the key on their key ring.

If you have left already, then email the resort and I bet they can figure it out for you. Email the GM and let her know what happened.

We are home. We asked two different CMs on two different days in the store and were told no. ☹️ I even asked if there was a way to order one and they told us no. I’ll have to track down the email. Thanks.

Here is the list from the WDW site:

Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and Beach Club Resort
  • Dedicated Cast Member providing service to the cabanas
  • Cocktail service
  • Ceiling fan
  • Padded furniture, including chairs and couch
  • Television with cable access
  • Charging outlet/USB
  • Mini refrigerator stocked with complimentary sodas and water
  • Fruit basket (may not be available without advance reservation)
  • Plush towels
  • Cabinet safe
I called 60 days out to book. I wanted #3 but it was taken, so I booked #4 which was my second choice. They were only offering full day rentals.

Hi!
We are staying at Yacht Club in March and I just saw that the big slide is closed for refurbishment.
Has Disney said when it will reopen? Are there any other slides that will be open then?
Thank you :)

I just want to report that the slide is open (or at least it was today). We just arrived today and my kids were thrilled as we assumed it would still be out of commission.
I wonder if the work started yet. If it hasn’t started yet, I’m worried for my March trip. Thank you for reporting. Enjoy your trip & keep us posted bout SAB.

Was anyone else there this past weekend that can confirm slide conditions? It was reported here on the thread it closed 2/16. Sort of surprised they’d put just a few day closure on the website, but it is Disney so I’m not going to second guess why they do what they do.

Maybe that 2/16 report wasn’t accurate?

Is there a map of the cabanas somewhere? I wanna try and get one right next to the kiddie sand pool part.

Also, anyone know if you can reserve one for the day you check out and stay at the pool all day? Like say if I move all my luggage out to the truck, and then hang out at the cabana/pool and then drive home later?

Here you go, see below. #2 would probably be your best bet. #1 opens out directly into that sandy area, but it's harder to see out if your kids are over in that bigger pool part. #3 has good sand pool visibility but is set back a little. #4 is more 'secluded' further back.

And yes, you can reserve a cabana for your check out day. You have full use of all guest amenities your entire check-in and check-out days at Disney resorts.
