Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Perfect - thank you! Has it been crowded? We fly in on Monday the 21st of June....around lunch time. Our usual MO is to go straight to the park, but we are planning to slow our usual pace down and hoping that we may be able to spend the afternoon at the pool.
It's been crowed the last few weeks due to the combination of spring break, Easter and warmer weather. I would assume it will remain crowded going forward especially with the BC opening on 5/31.
What remains to be seen is if park capacity limits will be raised and distancing measures modified.

Ahhh yes, very good point. I had forgotten the hotel side of BC would be open by then....all good stuff. Thanks again ;)

Just a quick PSA on the outage. As reported on the Technical Support forum there was a hack yesterday. It appears to be limited in user impact but the result was a restoration from earlier in the day that would cause some posts to have been deleted. I've attached the thread form the forum with the specific post from the Webmaster [post #2] but there are more details and speculation on some other posts on that forum and thread if you wish to explore!
Outage

Thanks for the info!

I actually had some time to work on the thread yesterday afternoon/evening, and I got the maintenance error. Figures!

:faint:

We love the Beach Club and have stayed there a few times. We go to the pool every day and our kids always want to stay in the sand bottom pool. Would you switch to the Yacht Club for your next trip since it is closer to that side of the pool? Are the resorts basically the same?

The two resorts have a totally different feel. The Beach Club has a causal beach theme while the Yacht Club has a more formal, quiet, and older vibe.

Some of the Yacht Club rooms have shower only, no bathtubs. More of the Yacht Club rooms have balconies than Beach Club.

While the Yacht Club is a little more convenient to SAB than the Beach Club, I wouldn't let that be the deciding factor. I like the Yacht Club rooms more than the Beach Club rooms because the YC rooms have more storage areas, including under the bed storage. The BC has the better quick service restaurant and is closer to Epcot, but the YC is very close to the boat dock. All but a few rooms at the YC have a full balcony while only 50% of the rooms at the BC have them. Bottom line for me is that I would book whichever resort is cheaper. :)

You simply request a walk-in shower as a request on your reservation just like any other request.

apologies in advance but i couldn't find the answer: does bell services still accept grocery deliveries? for BCV, if that matters. (probably no alcohol, sadly)

Hi, can you change our reservation details on the Be Our Guest List? We were 6/30-7/11 after 3 nights at OKW. We are now June 30-7/13 at YC only. Celebrating our 26th anniversary! Thank you!

My DW is ordering Instacart. DW told me that there is delivery to Bell Services and that Bell Services will deliver to your room for an additional charge or you may pick up the items. I assume, but do not know, whether other services operate the same way as Instacart.

Apologizing as I did a quick search first, but just need to ensure I am correct, cabana rentals can now be booked 60 days in advance, no longer 180 days, correct? And thanks big time!

Yes as @Jarbo indicated above 60 days for Cabana rentals. It is also 60 days for all ADR resrvations and other resort activities. The 180 day window did not return when the WDW reopened in July.
