I just jumped on the MDD bandwagon. Instant approval for CSP through DH’s link. Need to lower the limit and tomorrow morning hopefully CSR instant approval. 🤞🏻

Also just wanted to add a DP. My DH upgraded his CSP to the CSR almost 8 months ago, I saved his CSP support link before he upgraded, and was able to use it today.

I believe it’s 30 days after the statement with the fee closes....when does his April statement close ?
Statement closes Apr 24. So I guess we have some time. I’m trying to have him do it by end of the month to be safe, in case it’s 30 days from the fee posting. I know a few others can probably relate to the struggle of trying to get their DH to call for anything :sad2:

Thank you for pointing that out! I'm going to note that on my calendar now. How far in advance of expiration can you renew?

I think it's a full year, but double check that since we are all within 6 months at this point. I think it's easier to renew, but DD's actually expired and it's going to be harder for her I think. Just listing all her jobs and stuff was a big pain (so many temp/summer jobs at that age and of course they want them all).

I can definitely relate...my DH will not make phone calls so I have to work around that..definitely frustrating at times

You have until April 30 to PC, i.e., 30 days after the AF posts. If he calls on May 1 to PC, he will pay a prorated AF of $7.92 (ask me how I know lol). My DH's CIP AF also posted on 4/1 and I'm going to close it. I just got a CIU for him, and he has a CIC from a previously PC'd CIP. I have a CSR open since 1/2017 that I've added him as an AU so that I can still transfer URs to his Hyatt since he's the Globalist (otherwise he wouldn't have any card with partner transfer ability when I cancel the CIP). It won't matter for his 4/24 status since Chase backdates AUs. And the last time I did this, the AU fee didn't show up until my next AF posted (in Feb) so that should give me time to decide what other cards to get for him.

Cash out refinance:

I just applied/got preliminarily (I guess.... I still have to send in pay stubs and such) approved for a cash out refinance. The application was all online and I can see the hard pull already on my Credit Karma.

The loan officer said it should all be complete in a couple of weeks.

Does anyone happen to know whether they do a second credit pull at all? It's not a huge deal; I am merely curious.

Bonvoy Biz Af coming due...not gonna pay it (never use the card) so I guess I've got to cancel..or is there a no AF to PC this to? What happens to my current free night in my account? I'm guessing it stays there? Also wondering why AF comes due in May but free night has an August date?

I got a survey from AmEx offering $50.00 if I qualified and completed a quick survey (on my AmEx Hilton biz card). I qualified and completed survey (about business and leisure travel and how I charge stays) in a few minutes and can expect my $50.00 check in 8 weeks :flower: . Easiest $50.00 earn in a long time! Hope a lot of others on here get the same offer!

They will do a soft pull at the end, but they should not do another hard pull.

Is getting a Real ID that much hassle? I have an enhanced driver's license so I can cross the border w/o a passport. When you live in MI, and Canada is closer than Ohio, it just makes sense, LOL. I now have the passport too though.

My DD just got her driver's license. I decided to pay the extra $15 to get her the enhanced license (since she doesn't have a passport yet). It took all of 30 extra seconds to get that vs the regular license. I know it requires more "papers" but we had her birth cert and everything else for her license anyways.

I've had the enhanced for years...essentially since MI started to offer them. And the enhanced is essentially the same as a passport card so it's already a Real ID. I'm just shocked if it's that much of a PITA in other states.
I think it depends on your state and DMV. Our local DMV sent DH away because he didn't have the 'correct' docs even though they were on the list of docs to bring. I just renewed my license by mail, no Real ID because I don't want the hassle. I have different names on passport, DL, etc due to married name vs maiden name etc. I'll use passport for now and get passport card next time I renew.

Hi all! You all helped me get a Companion Pass with Southwest a few years ago (and I still have it, so thank you). I am back to ask for more advice. I am following the intro sticky here (but please tell me if I left anything out). Here goes:

Going to WDW in August. Will need 5-day park hoppers for 5 adults (retail around $3500). Resort and travel already paid, but food/souvenirs are not.

Accounts opened within the past two years
03/21 - Apple Card
02/20 - Furniture store credit (not sure if this counts)
01/20 - AMEX Hilton Honors Rewards
08/19 - CITI Costco Rewards
04/19 - Chase Southwest Rewards Business

I currently have the Chase Disney Visa (regular, not Premier) and it is earning 5% rewards on all purchases up to $1500. I also already have two Chase Southwest cards (personal and business), and one is earning 5X SW points on grocery and restaurant purchases up to $1500. I have the option to use the My Chase Plan to break up any single purchase over $100 for no fees or interest (only 8 days left to use this).

I have over 100,000 points on SW Rapid Rewards and Hilton Honors, each.

I also have the AMEX Everyday Rewards card. It has an option to receive 20% in membership points if I make 20 purchases within any one billing period and I am able to do one 'Plan It' (break up any purchase over $100 for no fees or interest).

I often use shopping portals and check each card for any additional benefit for particular retailers. For example, I recently stacked offers to get $100 Disney gift card at Best Buy for $63.

I use my cards heavily ($2-3K/mo) and pay them off every month. I will rotate them based on which offer is better on a current card, but I don't always pay as close attention to that as I should.

I have memberships at Costco and Sam's Club.

I was thinking I should purchase $1500 worth of tickets from a discount retailer with the Disney Visa, and then use a different card to buy the rest in gift cards...? I am just not sure what is the best way to go here.

Do any of you have any advice for me? I genuinely appreciate the help.

I just completed a cash out refi, and there was only the one hard pull.

Looks like you are 4/24. I would suggest you get the Chase Sapphire Preferred. The current SUB is 80,000 URs + $50 grocery store credit.
This is what I would do: buy $3,500 Disney GCs at your local grocery store (make sure it codes as grocery store), might have to take a few trips. Then as soon as you hit the MSR of $4,000 you'll have at least 84K URs and you can use the Pay-Yourself-Back feature to erase $1050 from your statement. Plus you would have earned the $50 grocery store credit making the SUB worth $1005 ($1100-$95 AF).

If you don't want get a new card then use your Disney Visa to purchase $1500 worth of tickets, then use your Amex Everyday to buy GCs at the grocery store.

B of A Biz DP - hit MSR 4/12, $750 bonus showed up today. Easy peasey!
BOA bonuses really show up fast. Mine did the same. I just have it sitting there trying to figure out what to use it for.
First time having a BOA biz. Question on the cash rewards (not bonus). Did you redeem those already or leave until after hitting MSR? On the bonus, does it hit in time to use on that statement as a credit or is it later so you have to spend another $750 to use. I want to use on my vacation rental for HHI that I am charging to the BOA card. Then I'll probably sock drawer for a year. Is it possible to use the bonus on MSR spend or better to spend 750 over MSR and use on that?
