Congrats! I am going to DLP for a quick trip in August as part of a 2 week trip. I have been to Paris, but not DLP. i am hoping the testing and vaccine pass requirements are lifted by then.
The pre-departure to Paris testing and the health pass have been lifted as of mid March!! Yay! Hopefully we can see some of the US federal mask mandate and return to US testing requirements be removed as well.

We'll be in Paris in just a couple weeks so the timing couldn't have been better.

Over the weekend I applied for the CapOne Venture X and was instantly approved :cheer2: I'm really interested in seeing how I use the card and its points as compared to the CSR and Plat (well, after I get through the MSR first lol). I may be dropping either the CSR or the Plat when AF time comes around in late summer/early fall. I'm not a fan of lifestyle-type credits---we don't regularly use Lyft or Uber, we don't need Peloton, Equinox or SoulCycle products, we don't use food delivery apps, etc. I much prefer straightforward hotel or airfare or general travel credits.
I hated the stupid Uber credit… until BevMo joined Uber Eats with a pickup option 😂

We fly home from Aruba on 3/18 and I bet the requirements are lifted beginning 3/19 since the expire on 3/18.

When we stayed at the Yacht Club, I booked a AA vacation with car rental and just didn’t pick up the car.
I thought I remember reading that people were able to use them that way, but when I try typing it in on the AA site I can’t get it to work. Maybe it has changed.

I am new to this thread. I am just wondering what is everyone's favorite credit and why? We just got approved for the Chase Sapphire preferred card and waiting for that to arrive. We were considering the Capital One Venture and I am still on the fence about getting that one before their intro offer expires. We currently have Disney Chase and the disney dollars just don't cut it anymore. We are looking to travel to other places and other countries. Our children are grown and in college. We are DVC so we will still visit WDW but we are looking to expand our travel.

Thank you

If I cancel our WoH card, can I still use the free night (from last year) ? It expires April 3, I plan to use it up March 31-April 1, but the AF posted March 1 so I'd need to cancel card by the 30th..... think this will work? (also) if the WoH free nite is Dh's name, I can still checkin "earlier" than him right?( Argh)

CSP is a great travel card as it gives you points (URs) that can be used as cash, transferred to travel partners and used to book travel through Chase travel portal. I would say many of us pair that with other Chase cards that earn URs to maximize points. For instance, I have Chase biz cards (CIU, CIC) and personal cards (FF, CSP) and DH has both personal and biz as well. Pooling all our points allows us to have a good stash of URs. Amex has many cards that earn MRs and which can be pooled. The problem with a card like CapOne is that there are a limited number of cards you can earn that currency on, limiting your ability to accrue a lot of points. That said, if it works for you, go for it.

yes, the FNC is attached to you WOH account not your card.

Ok recent London travelers, best way to get a covid test for return flight from London? Proctored home kit?

they dropped it for transport in France ? they seemed more strict about it than here tbh.

My April Sandestin plans are not happening - Flights home are through the roof. So now I'm looking at going to DC, since we could drive the 7 hours to get there.
Anyone have any insight as to how DC is in terms of Covid closures. I saw that a few museums, just re-opened and most no longer require timed entrances. I'd love any first hand info. It'll be me DH, DD13, DS12 and DS10. Also any recommendations on dining would be great!

He can "gift" his FNC to you, then the room can be in your name. I asked the Twitter Concierge about this recently and was told I needed to call for security reasons.

I have a question on the no fee Visa gift cards (for when they are offered next). I haven't dabbled in buying these to meet a MSR, however I'm wondering how these would work being added to Venmo? P2 and I keep our finances separate, and he pays the mortgage and utility bills. So, every month I Venmo him a portion of that. If there's a way to earn points on that I'm all over it! Anyone have any experience with that?

I'm no longer a Disney traveler and before 2020 was an international traveler primarily. Obviously things have changed over the past 2 years but I'm optimistic for the future :)

That said, I have 3 favorite cards that are always in my wallet. The first is my Amex (rose) gold since it earns 4X Membership Rewards on food and groceries. MRs are valuable to me for transfer to KLM, Air France, British Airways and of course Delta (DL hostage). The second is my Amex Blue Business Plus-2X MRs on everything up to $50K spend and no AF-it's a great default card for me. Finally, I also use the Chase Sapphire Preferred for hotels, airport parking and occasionally restaurants.
Cards 4-6 are my World of Hyatt personal card for my Hyatt stays and gym membership, American express business gold for gas, and my American Express Delta Reserve for big purchases (to allow me to keep Delta status and it's a very pretty purple).

Welcome to the thread!

We have been exclusively using the eMed proctored tests. It comes in a six pack and can be used for multiple travelers. It's $150+ shipping. I think you are 3 travelers, so that might be cost prohibitive. But, for others interested, what I do like about it is that you can do it from your hotel room or airbnb with a wifi connection. Test takes 15 and results are delivered to your email and app in 15 minutes. We've used it in Iceland and Mexico easily. They deliver rather quickly, some I am hoping to wait a bit to see if the testing requirement gets dropped.

For another trip in Mexico we did the on-site resort testing and that was fast and easy as well, but we had to schedule an appointment and work our day around that appointment, so I didn't really care for that.

I filed a claim with my insurance company for the proctored tests, (they provide a prescription and billing info to submit to insurance) but I haven't heard anything yet.
