How do Mears Connect and Sunshine Flyer compare lately ??

Taking Happy Limo to AoA from MCO this Saturday, they have a van picking up all 8 of us. On the return 6 of us taking Sunshine flyer back to MCO for a 7:20 AM flight (2 staying in Florida), fingers crossed with that portion. Will update how all works out very nervous about the early AM pick up from AoA but we shall see.

Just checked Sunshine Flyer's site. They start pick-up at 4am for flights at 7am and later. My flight is at 9:30am. The website had me choose the hour within which my flight departs, so I picked 9-10am. I'm a little confused by the information on the reservation page, though. It says:

Does this mean they'll taking us to the airport between 9am and 10am? I assumed they'd pick us up by 6:30am for a 9:30am flight.

What do you do for groceries?
I haven't done it, but you can have things shipped to your resort. I'm not familiar with any of the shopping services, though. There is also a FB page/group called "Ears to Each Other" which is former CMs who lost their Disney jobs due to the pandemic and started side-hustles. You have to join the group, but I know there are some shoppers listed there, also.

For our trip next week (!!!!!), our flight gets in at 11:30pm on the 17th. We are renting a car from Alamo with pick-up at 12:30am on the 18th, staying at an airport hotel (thanks, Hilton, for the Honors points!), and then will drive to the grocery store the next morning, check in as soon as POFQ has our room ready, then return the car to Alamo at the Car Care Center by 6:30pm. Alamo will then shuttle us to wherever we want to go. Vehicle with taxes and fees is $94 (Alamo will pick model, guaranteed compact or higher). I figured one-way on Mears/Sunshine Flyer would be $32, add another $25 for a shopping service fee and a tip of $10 [OR the cost of 2 Ubers to get to the grocery store and back to POFQ], and we're up to $67. Taking the bus would also mean getting to MCO at 11:30pm, taking hotel shuttle to Home2Suites on arrival, taking shuttle back to MCO the next morning to get the bus, etc. For the additional $30 I am getting (hopefully) less hassle when I land at MCO (worn out from leaving home at 2pm), faster getting to bed that night, get to do my own shopping for however long I want, etc. To me, it's worth the extra $30 for the convenience of having a car. HOPEFULLY this will all fall into place.

For groceries we have used Amazon in the past and liked them, but are looking into the Kroger one for the next trip. I haven't had time to investigate it much yet, but it was mentioned here on the DIS. Fairly new I believe

For groceries, we used Instacart. They sometimes didn’t have items, so we had to do three orders for the week. I think I might try and get a car service next time, or do Amazon.

We took sunshine flyer from MCO to Pop Friday morning the 12th. Our luggage was quite delayed getting to baggage claim so we were outside the time window we had given sunshine flyer (which I’m sure does not matter ). Anyway we easily found the check in podium outside the airport and just had to give our name. She said hang out in the area and they would announce our hotel. Within a few minutes a bus pulled up and they announced Riviera and loaded one family. They announced Pop and loaded just us and then they announced Yacht Club and loaded one family. The bus immediately took off (3 families and 3 hotels). This was around 9:30. We (at Pop ) were the first drop off. It was great. We leave Monday night with a 9:50 flight that is 88% delayed (southwest needs to get it together lol). Got the text and email this afternoon with a 6:20 pm pickup at Pop. Earlier than I wanted but better early than late. Will let you know how return trip goes.

We used Sunshine Flyer for the trip we just returned from and they were great! No complaints other than it's a pain to have to get your own luggage and go back up to cross terminals (as opposed to how easy it was with DME), but that can't be helped and has nothing to do with their actual service.

We waited about 10, maybe 12 minutes for the bus to arrive after checking in? Everyone was already there waiting so we loaded up and were on our way. They were clearly tracking our flight as we got a text as soon as we landed. We were the fourth stop so not as quick as a private service but no different from DME really, and they were as efficient as they could be getting people off and then to the next resort. Our flight back was 2:40, we were scheduled to be picked up at 11:05 (first resort out of 4 stops). The bus was there (parked, driver had run into the resort presumably for restroom break) when we walked outside at around 10:52. She came back to the bus and pulled it around for us by 11:00 and by 11:40 we had picked everyone up and were on our way to the airport. Plenty of time to check our bags, get through security, and eat lunch prior to boarding.

how long were you in the bus before you got at your resort?

I'm not sure exactly but it was maybe 50 minutes? I texted my friend at 10:07 when we passed the first gas station out of the airport (so a few minutes into the bus ride) about how cheap gas was and I know we were physically in our room by 11 (and had no idea where we were going so needed to navigate a bit, although we were pretty close to the lobby).

My dd and dgs-14 months, will be with us for the first four nights of our trip and then going back home. Her dh wont be coming.

I plan on taking transportation back to the airport with her and get her to security to help with baby.

Sunshine Flyer isnt like MDE is this correct meaning I can book multiple rides and as long as I pay, it doesnt matter if Im checking in or out or already have a room.

I will then take Uber or SF back to hotel.

Thank you.
