Tonight, I post a few pictures of our lovely, adorable, effervescent and much loved "adopted daughter" Lindsey who has appeared in this TR since we met her in May.
Sadly, we were told tonight in a phone call from the very lovely Alex from the RPR Club Lounge, our beautiful girl passed away on December 2nd after being in the warehouse Fire in Orlando December 1st. Three others passed away and one young lady is still critical. There was a fire in the building they stored the pyrotechnics they worked with. A horrible tragedy.
Lindsey, we first met in the Club Lounge in May, and had an instant connection to her, our love of HHN and so many other things made us close in a heartbeat. Alex, who has now been promoted to supervisor there, introduced us and said we`d like her and she was right. We spent time together and met her lovely boyfriend who we soon observed were meant to be together, their closeness and connection was palpable.
Those who read the May TR will have observed her when we got her a tee shirt that proclaimed her boyfriend was indeed Spiderman. This small token blew Lindsey away and later that night we got a thank you email from Spider-Man himself thanking us for looking after his Lindsey when he wasn`t there.
She did become someone we looked on as our little girl among our American Kids as they are affectionately known.
Lindsey soon left the Lounge and went on to become a full time member of the Scenic Decor Department at UOR, working on the houses for HHN in 2022, she had previously worked on Dead Vines Root of Evil house at SeaWorld Howl o Scream in 2021, sharing her experiences and images for us was a joy to see. She proudly told us after we got home in May she was going to be training to do the pyrotechnics for the UOR shows. Another connection we had, as we spoke of our background in Explosives....she would joke she hoped she never blew anything up she shouldn`t.
This year she also worked on the houses, especially the Halloween house which was one we bonded over, and she was also thrilled to become a RIP Tour Guide for HHN this year.......she was the most knowledgeable person on HHN I have ever met.....she knew everything there was to know about the event from the start, we were so proud of her.
We kept in touch regularly and through emails we never lost touch in those short 7 months since we met.
To say we are completely and utterly devastated is an understatement. We loved that little girl who came into our lives and in a very short time became an important part of it. I`m a firm believer most folks come into your life for a reason and she certainly made an impact on our lives in a very positive way.
We will miss her so much, we have sent our condolences to her family and to her sweet partner Devin who we spoke to tonight, he is broken and in knowing Lindsey we can understand why.
It breaks our heart to know we`ll never hear her speak, laugh or ever hug her again, all of those things we planned to do in May. She had an amazing sense of humour and we laughed at the same things. There was one night in the Club Lounge myself, Lindsey and Alex were all outside the lounge struggling to breathe as we were laughing so hard. "Baby Jane"
Yes, we knew her for a very short time, but we feel as though we`ve known her forever.
We will miss that little girl so much, she was 23 years old.
A beautiful image below from her obituary.
