Your December statement is the one that closed on 12/7. The next one closing on 1/7 is your January statement, and all spending you've charged to your SW card since 12/8/22 is going to count as 2023 RRs.
I thought I’d replied but can’t find it. Thank you!!!! I’m already a month in so I need to work on the sub x2.

P2 applied for a Freedom Flex and got a message that it requires confirmation that she applies (likely due to an earlier fraud alert applied to her credit file). The number provided was an automated line and ultimately said she will receive a written letter in 7-10 business days.

I know she should be able to get an instant approval, is there another contact number that should be used to expedite the process? Thanks

If I'm remembering it should give options to speak with someone when you call that number and listen long enough. If it was too early/late and recon wasn't open it may not have that option.

We did Mendenhall Glacier Tour and Whale watching. Excellent. Booked through Chase portal with URs.
check out the bear sanctuary in Sitka...we spent hours there just looking...it was so fun! (and they have hummingbirds like crazy there too- we diy'd our time in Sitka, and took the little local bus around town when needed, nice walking town.

When logged into DH's Instacart account, use this Instacart link to register each eligible Chase card. That will also extend the free Instacart+ membership.

Here's the list of credits per card:

Ok thanks- I see that on my accounts. SO basically, I activated all my cc's this week, so what does this mean for what credits I have, and how long they're good for? it says each quarter, so does that start from the moment I enroll,so in 3 months I'll have a credit to use on each card? And I keep written record here of when activated,so I'll know the date I can spend? This is what I find confusing, knowing the dates/amount/which one to use and when.

Calendar quarter so they expire 12/31.

I posted in October about my DH's knee surgery in January. The business office just called today to review our coverage and expected out of pocket. In this case, the surgery center + ortho surgeon will get us to our max out of pocket ($4k) alone. After great feedback from people here, the suggestion was to wait until he had the surgery and then decide on if we were up to another MSR/card. Apparently, this surgeon/surgery center requires payment in advance, so once the calendar turns over and they re-verify our insurance hasn't changed, they'll call again for that payment.

Sooo. I'm guessing it's like 2-3 weeks MAX before I have to pay. I honestly hadn't given it much thought so unsure if I'll try to pull the trigger or not.

We've got:
P1: CSP, CIU, Bonvoy, Amex Plat, Venture X, SW
P2: CSP, Bonvoy, IHG, SW

We also JUST(early November) both got AA Aviator (?) for an inflight offer of 1 charge for 50k

We aren't working on any MSRs now.

I haven't messed with anything Citi, so maybe that's the most logical step? Would I get physical card by first week of January (we could maybe push to 2nd week to pay, his surgery is on 1/18).

EDIT: Maybe the regular Venture for 75k points for 4k spend....

EDIT ALSO: the risk is, if my DH gets cold feet or there's some issue that pops up. I guess a 4k spend is doable anyway, but I was looking for a quick/easy one. Hmmm.

The Citi Premier is a good bonus, but they don't expedite.

Personally, I would do a CIU. 90k for $6000 plus an extra 20k support from P1 CIU. This is assuming you're under 5/24 and haven't opened any other Chase cards recently. Once it's approved, you can SM to expedite and have it in 2-3 days.

This would be my choice as well. You could get the CIC so that you have 5x at office supply stores, internet, and phone.

Thanks for that suggestion! This way I don't have to make the decision while we're trying to do 100 more things before xmas.

P2 got an IHG Chase card in Sept and an Barclay AA card in November. I think he's 4/24 (maybe 3, but def not 5).

Apped for a cic earlier and got the 2 week message. Excited for more UR but not having to meet 6k. Have 2 trips and tux annual check up in there along with my car ins so they should take up enough I don't have to get creative.

I always say the spend is going to be hard. Yet my CIU spend is $300 from done in about 5 weeks. Oy. Now I need another spend 😜

Wait.... I feel really dumb right now but you mean all the credits expire next week? And I have to use each one separately, right? So worst case, they expire and reset in January automatically- for example I will have a$10 credit on my freedom card on January 2nd?

Had my older DD check her Amex Marriott Biz for the Lowes $50 off $250 offer. She doesn't often pay attention to any offers because she's pretty busy. It was there so she'll pick up a $250 gift card for me. Yay. I didn't expect her to still have it.

That's my understanding.

Our flight to Iowa tomorrow morning got canceled. We booked with chase points flying allegiant. Haven’t been able to get ahold of anyone at allegiant to change the flight and it won’t let us change it online. Dh was on hold for over an hour and they hung up on him. He’s back on hold again

We took our last trip for 2022 - used a few Hilton FNCs at the Waldorf Astoria Pedregal in Cabo. I expected it would be nice because it was recommended by a close friend who's been there a few times, and it was amazing! We were also able to use 2 of those Amex Waldorf $100/$500 offers. :cloud9:
Any recommended excursions at these ports?
  • Sitka
  • Juneau
  • Icy Strait Point

We did a private (shared with another family from DD's school who were on the same cruise as us) kayak and Mendenhall Glacier Trek through Above & Beyond Alaska. It's a local tour provider that came highly recommended from 2 families we knew who had booked with them the year before we went. It was a truly wonderful and memorable day.

That's what I thought. I'm going to have to get him an appointment. He's not even 1 yet. Lol.

LOL. I'm imagining what questions they are going to ask him during the interview.

I wouldn't wait too very long to pull the trigger on this app, just because it's an elevated offer (90k vs 75k) and reduced spend ($6000 vs $7500), so it's very unique and I'm not sure if there's a firm date on when it will disappear. Don't forget to use a support link from P1.

Does anyone know if our points will be refunded to us since the flight was cancelled? We’ve never had this happen with chase before
