Springtime is the time to get ready for camping, which leads me to ask…..

Do you camp?
If yes….what do you camp in?
(multiple choice)

For Me…..I am not a camper :sad2:
My family never camped and my DH never camped.
I have tons of friends that do camp, and I’m starting to see their Facebook posts about getting their campers ready for camping season.

Oh I’ve camped - plenty of times - and I’ve come to the conclusion that I would rather camp in a FOUR star hotel as I’ve had nothing but disaster after disaster camping - floods several times - accidents several times - yup stopped camping over 20 years ago and I’m never doing it again - I like the concept but God was saying - stop doing this and I finally listened after the last flood

Edit - all camping done in tents

I did a lot of camping during college including a five week trip to the west coast and loved it. But after one mostly bad trip in a rented RV with the kids, we have given up on camping. My husband isn't a camper. :(

I've been tent camping, but not lately. We used to go to a campground with a group from DH's old workplace, and then there were a couple of Cub Scout things at ball fields. I enjoy it if it's only for a night or two, but after that, I want real showers and central air.

I used to enjoy tent camping in college. The older I get the less appealing the whole production gets. I will set up the tent in the backyard and camp out a couple of nights every summer with the kids.

I posted "other."

My family used to camp -- mostly in a smaller RV or a trailer. I had a great time and have great memories. (But I was never the one who had to plan and prep for the trip -- I was just the beneficiary of the planning/prepping.) I've camped in a tent a few times and it's OK... but I think I'd like it more if I had the right "equipment." (I just had a sleeping bag on the floor of the tent and I always seemed to end up with a rock or something underneath me!) I think I prefer RV, trailer, or cabin though.

My husband does not camp. His family never did. He has no desire to... and he's allergic to practically anything that grows, so that sounds like it would be miserable for everyone. So, hence, I do not camp anymore either.

No thank you. :rotfl2:

Wasn't raised a camper, DH wasn't a camper (thankfully), and I know I'll never BE a camper. Hotels and resorts have my heart. Now, I would try one night of Glamping, I guess. Or an RV but that seems unappealing except for the actual driving portion.

Same. I gave up. Now if we are not in someplace clean, comfortable and air conditioned I feel like I am camping.

I slept in a tent once on a cub scout thing in someone’s very large backyard. It was several acres, so you did feel like in the middle of nowhere but still 5 mins away from house and most important…….bathroom.

My main goal in life is never to experience anything less than a full bathroom. No porta potties, no latrines, or less for me. Yup,I have an expressive life goal.

I have done it, and it's not something that I'm dead against, but it's not my preference either. I'd rather stay in a cabin or hotel.

Done it a few time with friends in college. I just don't get the appeal and the effort to drag everything you need seemed like a hassle. There also wasn't that much to do so for all that extra work would rather sit on the patio at home. A couple of times it rained, so there wasn't anything you could do outdoors and we just sat around in the tents. Drove a long distance to get there and then to setup all of the equipment for a weekend of rain was a huge nuisance. Apparently some are really into it, but just not my thing.
