I love credit cards so much! v6.0 - 2023 (see first page for add'l details)

More points from decent sign up bonuses on no fee business cards.
Also, might break the 25k per year per card in 5% in office supply depending on how hard you're using those fee free VGC for spend.

And, an extra card in the Chase environment always means extra chances to hit the good Chase offers. I personally get SO many OD/OM even though we're really far from them. I'm hoping for another round to drop that's still active mid July because we're passing one on a road trip. Lol!

But, mostly, it's a really good sign up bonus with doable spend on a fee free card 😁

So there is no "lifetime language" on Inks? You can repeat the SUBs? I have one now with just my name using my social. Do you have to do anything different for extra ones? (I don't have an EIN, it's just me.)

I only know of the dummy booking method. Have you checked for the cheapest city pair far off in the future? I would look on Tuesday/Wednesday to/from a SW hub. I see a $55 lax-sfo Nov 1 if that helps at all.
Great idea; thanks for the research. Hawaii inter-island flights are sometimes $39, so I could go that route too.

I do think I could book a flight for any fare and cancel it immediately (24 hour cancellation rule) and get the paid fare refunded and it would combine the two travel funds. It all seems like such a hassle. We rarely book with cash but had these luv vouchers. And I can't pass up a cheaper fare. It's too bad they can't be used for EBCI or something.

Other folks have hit them way harder than me, and I know they have better info on how frequently you can safely do it, but I don't think these boards have found the upper limit yet. It's my understand that some users are hitting the spend on one and then just applying again. Maybe they're waiting at least 90 days between apps??

I have two CIC, both against my SSN, both opened this year, auto approved, and bonuses have paid. Hubby only has one so far on his ssn.

DH and I each have a CIC and a CIU. I know others on here have had like 4 or more. We've been distracted by other credit cards in between 😆

I think there might be, but not enforced? with 2 of us there is also the referral bonus. I got a CIC in Jan, DH got one in Feb, I got a CIU in May, DH will get one in June. His last CIU was approved Sept ‘22. Unfortunately we have a lot of expenses this year, I’m not even including the annual car inspection for 2 old cars in my calculations.

always just use the SSN to apply.

Before I transfer my MRs to Hilton:

What is the cancellation policy on rooms booked with points (Standard Room Reward)? It won't let me see the terms without having points in my Hilton account.

All the Alaska talk is making me more excited. We are taking an Alaskan cruise leaving June 25th on Discovery Princess. It will be my family, my sister's family and my mom. Ours does not go to Glacier Bay, but does Endicott Arm & Dawes Glacier. We've never been, so all of it will be new and beautiful I'm sure. We read that Glacier Bay is the best, it just did not work for us this time.
On our cruise (a few years back) we were on HAL, supposed to do inside passage and instead of the original place we were supposed to visit,we ended up diverting to Glacier Bay b/c of stormy seas (this was early May) - it was so beautiful

In October 2022 I got the AAdvantage Aviator Business card. Do you know if I can also get this one? I certainly don't need to it but 70k points for just one purchase is amazing.
does anyone know if you can combine AA miles in a household?

First time trying to buy A1-15 with SW. it’s only giving me an option to pay with points. I can get them for free with the SW CC. Is it not possible to pay cash if I booked on points?
I’ve always paid with my SW card, same reason as you I get reimbursed, the offer comes up for me after I check in at 24 hrs prior to the flight

Unfortunately I have found different hotels have different cancellation policies. My last one at the Waldorf Bonnet Creek was 48hrs for a points booking, but at the Grand Wailea it was possibly 30 days. You may have to call the hotel, or just see what the policy is for a cash booking, as it may be the same terms.

Do they send a 1099 for the referral bonus?

DD just flew to Europe for a week... and Delta lost her luggage. I told her to go shopping and keep he receipts. She's got $500 worth of skin and hair products in there not to mention the expensive bag itself. Her clothes are probably not worth much, but replacements cost. Does anyone know how this is handled? She submitted a lost baggage claim but hasn't heard anything. Is been about 10 hours already. She has no travel insurance (she used her Freedom card to book). I'm unsure how much the airline is on the hook for and how she should proceed.

I ended up booking the Hyatt Regency Lexington for DS's freshman orientation. It was 8,000 points so I transferred those from Chase (I don't have any Hyatt points). There wasn't much through Chase that was < $120 with taxes and parking so I think we can deal for one night. Of course we will need to drive 8 hours home after his orientation on Monday and I am supposed to be at the Salamander Resort for three nights for work (2 hours away) the next morning. But it's a fabulous resort so at least there's that!

Sitting at the airport waiting to board the plane to see my new grandson. He was due 6/20 but made an early arrival this morning.

Grateful for lots of SW points and the 20% off codes that have to be used within 14 days.
It’s a quick trip since my daughter is giving birth on Thursday and we are watching her 2 year old …crazy but good times
Congratulations!
