Yeah, I keep a spreadsheet of what I spend with my points and what it would cost rack rate and I could never find them for VGC. I just went into the booking system and clicked on dates to see what they were charging. That was the best I could do.
Makes sense. It would probably be worthwhile to go through all the dates to add AUL and VGC considering their popularity. However I do not plan on doing that any time soon 🫣

First-Time submitting an offer for a Different use Year - but it's only for a small HHI contract. We occasionally want to drive to WDW, and stopping at HHI along the way makes it a much easier driving experience. However, at the 7 month window we often have to go with a 1 BR when we really only need a studio, or sometimes there's absolutely no availability and we wind up paying OOP$ for a hotel. I just hit the submit button with a very low-ball offer. As soon as I get a response from the broker, I will fill in the details for the ROFR string.
🤞

Before moving to the west coast a couple years ago, we almost did the exact same thing for the exact same reason. HH is a good buy in this situation. Good luck, hope you land it!

OMG...Where did you find this??? I've been looking for over a month for a small, affordable BRV. Awesome find.
I actually put a full price offer in with seller paying fees for AKV 160pts ($115) and got confirmation email. A couple of days later I saw that contract was pending and I called DVCStore to see if the seller accepted my offer- nope wasn’t me. He said they had no record of my offer and even though he could not tell me what the buyer offered and seller accepted; it was significantly lower that list price.

So, I had a not great first experience with them since they had apparently deleted my offer-or the server -who knows.

I saw the BRV and we just stayed in a 2 br in May there AND it had 152 pts in 2023 -exactly four nights in a 2br. List at $110 and I offered $95 - accepted on the same day.

2 days later, they called me back and said the original AKV contract was back on the market…..

We stayed in May as well in a studio, and loved the location and the quietness of the property. I'll keep looking. Seems like this was meant to be for you.

We had an “m” shaped room on the 4th floor.

4519- good pool view. Balcony is very small but great location.

Plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 kiddos.

With direct sales incentives being so incredibly good right now, I am watching to see how resale is going to respond. I cannot imagine the floor lower and yet, I kinda think it’s going to have to if Disney keeps competing.
While I really dislike the restrictions from the consumer side, from a marketing angle, it’s kind of brilliant. Plus, having direct sales pricing competing so well with resale definitely tips the scale towards direct too. If I can pay 10-20/pt more and get all the direct benefits plus being able to book at restricted resorts? I’m in for direct. The difference between resale and direct needs to be bigger for it to sway me towards resale.

At a minimum resale points need to be 15 percent less than the current cost to buy direct for my interest. Losing future resort availability is huge.

I have now officially unfollowed this thread, as I am NOT going to succumb to any more addonitis any time in the foreseeable future.

I have not, however, unsubscribed to any of the resales sites or deleted any bookmarks to any other sales or aggregator sites.

Baby steps.
Talk about an exercise in futility. I tried this multiple times. And it never worked. The truth is, I missed the community too much

I haven’t been paying much attention to resales since I wasn’t in the market until recently. Has Disney been doing “flash sales” long? I missed the flash sale for AKV last month and I’m not interested in OKW this month. Also, where are people finding the good deals? Seems like the brokers that I put offers in with either are not passing the offer along to the buyer or the buyers are in fantasyland with their prices for stripped contracts.

GFV is the big winner this time around if you want a great price. It’s ~161 before closing fees for 150pts

On finding good deals, I watched ********** for a long time and low bid a lot until I got my 83/pp AUL loaded contract.

Adding also not interested in direct GFV.
