It use to be a ghost town September and October, all the kids in the north heading back to school. Same way in January, they came up with the marathons to fill in the blanks.Yeah, that all makes sense, and does track with what we've seen in the past. I remember the parks being ghost towns in September after a wave of hurricanes over a couple of years, and that's when "free" dining suddenly appeared as a promotion.
I remember when Harry the Wizard was going to put them out of business, they just increased the ticket prices. Lol
People forget it’s a multi billion dollar business . I’ve been saying it for 15 years. If you were in business making frisbees, you sold 1000 of them for a dollar. What if you could sell 500 for $3? Cut your production cost in half and raised your profit.
People complained about parks being crowded and long lines and still are. and complain about the ticket price. Ok, imagine if tickets were $30 and a hotdog and a soda was $1.50. First, you wouldn’t get anywhere near central Florida much less the theme parks. It would shut the state down. Not to mention all the cms they would need to handle the crowds. They couldn’t even get to work with the bumper to bumper traffic. We can’t have it both ways, a cheap empty park. Lol What was the old saying, can’t have your cake and eat it too?
I see people with five, six kids…. I think to myself, what do you do for a living? Lol. But I couldn’t imagine going to a McDonald’s or even a grocery store for five, six kids. Lol
