I love credit cards so much! v6.0 - 2023 (see first page for add'l details)

Well thank you New Kids on the Block for $1200 in credit card spends today, LOL. I should hit my Hilton FNC now pretty quick. I had to put a big chunk on my Citi AA card today to get the presale. But I'm okay with that, LOL. I guess I need to snag the CIU now ASAP. I can charge my Vegas hotel and put a nice chunk into the spend in 2 weeks. Then college tuition and taxes should hit the spend. If not, the holidays!

Would your mom be willing to fly BA to LHR, LHR to Dublin and meet you there? It’s usually pretty easy to get biz seats on BA (though you have the high cash fee). Personally I wouldn’t put my mom in economy, but that’s just me. But my mom was also tall and dd is only (for our family) 5’6”.
I looked at BA. I'll look again. Maybe I can sell her on that. We'll see. I think she wants to be on the same flight as us. I could put her on other AL flights out of a different city, (well I could before).
Can you provide a few details about this? I feel like I looked into it a while ago and it wouldn't work out in my area, but it's possible I'm thinking of the Instacart credits.
You need to figure out where the warehouses are. Once you can figure that out, you set your address to something right by the warehouse and see if pick up is an option. If it is, then you can pick up and save all that added money. I scheduled all of mine to pick up at once.

New Southwest personal card bonuses

Any personal card 75k points for 3k, 3 months.
Expires 12/11/23

Offer is from Southwest so the application link is there on the home page. Chase site isn't showing the higher offer at the moment.

I got an email from Southwest with the offer on the Plus card but it's a 'blind link' that doesn't give you the offer with the application or a choice of cards. Going to Southwest website has the usual comparison selector application link.

The business cards are also available but it looks like the same offers, 80k/60k.
No one has ever successfully mdd'd on 2 personals right?

Question about timing on cancelling SW cards. I currently have 3, all of which are set to apply a new annual fee on 12/1/23. I am ready to cancel them so I don't get charged the annual fee... but I think I remember reading that people wait until after the anniversary to cancel so you get the anniversary points, but then don't they charge you the annual fee? Or is there something I'm missing?

You can get a refund within 30 days after it's charged.

Might be worth asking for a retention offer. I got $150 on the SW Priority last time, making it free, so kept it for the perks.

ETA: (Unless you're planning to apply again, then you'd need to cancel it.)

I personally haven’t tried, but I seem to remember reading on Reddit some people have been successful
Me, I was successful! I applied for one personal, then one business, then another (different) personal, because I thought the business one was not going to be approved since I should have applied for business first. I called in to plead my case, and got all 3 approved. And got all 3 sign up bonuses, and the companion pass. I think the key to getting this to work was calling in so it isn't auto-denied.

Here is a datapoint for anyone who had the Amex offer get 25% back up to $25.00 from Walmart
online. I ordered a 100 physical gift card. Received a "you have redeemed offer" from Amex . 2 days
later received the gift card AND the $25.00 credit. All in 48 hours. Nice to know some are stepping
up their game and on the ball.

I'm still waiting on an Amazon order I placed 2 weeks ago and still waiting on a credit from a Chase offer I
made 4-5 weeks ago. lol :D

Winter Wonderland this morning.

That is WAY more than we got. It's was icy this morning and a tiny bit on porch rails and roofs but that's it. But the temperature swings are killing me. 🥶
i found 2 new Aldi offers. 5% on CSP and 10% on CIU up to $6.
Thanks for this! Not much but the $3 on CSR in addition to the $15 credit every month adds up. I was making my order just before stopping here, so it was perfect timing. I did get 10% on Hyatt and CIU but I'm not sure I'll use them since other cards have the quarterly credit and I'm working on Marriott MSR.

Awesome. Where was the link?

We noticed it on the right side of the account overview page either above or below where the Chase Offers was located. It said something like "You have been pre-approved."

Believe me, I logged into every account we had and his personal log in was the only one with the pre-approved offer link.

He went ahead and applied for the card... We are now waiting for it...

I'm going to try supporting my husband for a CIC... I've actually never done it before. Can someone remind me of the steps to take?
Login to your Chase account, find the card you want to support from and then click on the More? dropdown button, Account Services, "Support" a Friend. It will bring you to a link. I always paste the link in an incognito window to double check it's the right offer before sending it on to anyone.

Not a tip about getting directv lowered, but I will share my experience from cutting the cord with my cable/Internet company:

I dropped the Internet because a new company came to town with better Internet service for less money.

So then the cable/Internet company told me I lost the package deal and they were going to bill me over $100 per month for cable TV.

I said nope and cancelled the cable TV.

I bought a Mohu Leaf indoor antenna. I think it was on sale for about $18. You can hang it on the wall or put it on a table. You connect it to your TV, then you tell your TV to search for the channels. I get about 17 channels, including ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, the CW, Me TV, My 8, Laff, and 4 PBS channels. (Plus some other channels I seldom watch.) My monthly cost for that is zero. I pay for two streaming channels. If there's something in particular I want to see on another streaming channel, I will subscribe for a month, watch everything I want, and then drop it.

I realize this won't help the people who want to watch a lot of sports on sports channels. But I've been happy, particularly due to my dislike for the cable/Internet company I dumped.

You posted this awhile back and it was just the final prompting I needed to cut YouTube TV, which we primarily subscribed to for sports. Our new leaf antenna is working great and DH has gotten some of the sports he wants to watch, so he says its fine. If anything, we could go back to YouTube TV seasonally. Cutting it out will save us about $1,000 per year. We never know when we post something if it's helpful or not, so I just wanted to say how it was what I needed at the moment and how helpful it was.
generated a support link for SW so my DH can apply, noticed the link shows the personal cards earning 75,000RR points for the $3,000 spend
Thanks for sharing. I have been waiting for these to update and checked yesterday morning- same old 50k. But today it was updated and DH was approved. It also reminded me to update my link on Dischurners.

Yes, I have MDD'd two SW personals in the past. I did not need to recon.

Oh that’s good to know. I have 2 personal so am closing one but I may as well try…

I have never booked anything through the Chase portal, but am considering doing so to redeem UR for a Delta flight (return from Japan one way). I am nervous about not booking directly with the airline. What are the worst case scenarios of using the portal for flights?

Does anyone have a support link for the AMEX Bonvoy Business SUB 125000 points that expired yesterday? I meant to apply but got busy and forgot.
