Disney's BOARDWALK INN Information & Questions

Am I the only one excited about this? BRG was awful the last time we ate there. Both the service and food were terrible and I didn’t think it went with the boardwalk theme. Hoping something great fills this spot.

I think the concern is that something worse will go in or nothing at all for a very long time. The ice cream place that replaced Ample Hills is terrible; it's just grocery store ice cream and not even premium grocery store ice cream. Cake Bake is taking forever. It feels like they won't put anything there until 2027 or later at the rate things are going.

Are club-level rooms near the lounge? Same building or floor?
Yes 4th floor behind the Inn Keepers locked doors with some limited exceptions. There are 5 of the 10 deluxe CL rooms (sleep 6) on the 3rd floor just below the lounge. In addition there are Cottages in the courtyard by the quite pool and the rose garden that have CL access.

Regular size rooms are on the same floor. Some are close, some a further walk down the hall. Suites are near the lounge. Deluxe sized rooms can be on the lounge level or one floor down. Garden Cottages are on ground level with private outside entrances per cottage. Garden cottages aren't really convenient for lounge use.

I'm staying at BWV in March and while I wasn't necessary planning to dine there, I'm sad they wont have many options for us. Why is there no real quick service in there? I think we'll be walking to the Dolphin for breakfast.

Here is a video of a refurbished 1
bedroom villa. They have a pullout couch in the living room.

I have no idea why there is no quick service. Beach Club was sort of the same, but they apparently remodeled their food area and maybe expanded it. BWV has the deli. It has breakfast stuff, but it's more of the to-go nature, like pastries or breakfast sandwiches.

Someone posted on FB the first food truck arrived today. Looks like seating was added as well.

A New Food Option Just Arrived at Disney’s BoardWalk

There are now food trucks on the BoardWalk! A Cast Member told us that they will be rotating daily going forward.

Today, we spotted App’s Food Truck!

Disney's BoardWalk Inn Apps Food Truck

They’re open from 11AM to 4PM, so it’s really only available for lunch.

On the menu, you can get things like arepas, burgers, empanadas, quesadillas, and more.

Since the food trucks are apparently rotating, we will probably see a different option tomorrow, but we’ll have to wait and find out!

Out of curiosity, what have people paid for BWI hotel rooms this January/February (including any packages/deals?) For years, we have rented points to stay on the villas side and always feel like we're getting a great deal vs. booking rates through Disney for the hotel side. I have a feeling this year was probably different given all of the discounts they've been throwing out. And, even though I know prices shift back and forth all the time I'm wondering if we should continue to rent points in 2025 or roll the dice and see if we can get a better hotel deal.

What, a pull out couch? Where is the murphy bed? I thought all renovated rooms (suites, 1 & 2 bedroom villas) received murphy beds?
We were in a 1 BR P & G villa last week. The living room has a murphy bed! We took a tour of the DVC model and that one did not have a murphy bed. The cast member said it was a mistake in construction. That video might have been of the model.

In the video, it looks like she’s on the second floor right above the model. I wonder if the mistake in construction was an issue for all of the rooms above the model.

Work Continues on Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort

The addition of Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs to Disney’s BoardWalk Resort was originally announced last July, and progress on the new stand has been slow.

Recently, however, the old BoardWalk to Go sign was removed from the structure, and planters were extended to cover the stand.

The other big change has been the removal of the old BoardWalk to Go blue color scheme.

The stand is currently white, although it may not necessarily stay that way.

Here is a look at the back side of the building. As you can see, work is currently underway.

At this time we do not have an opening for Blue Ribbion Corn Dogs.

Small update:

Blue Ribbon Corn Dog Stand has been painted Yellow

I had CSR for 2/11-13 for $300 a night. Yesterday I finally found a deluxe at a reasonable rate at YC in a resort view. YC/BC and BWI generally pretty close in price.

It was $438 a night with the AP discount. Sadly CL resort view was $830. The small discounts for CL are disappointing.

You can go to wdw site and play with some dates to see what prices are. They also have the seasonal pricing listed which may help with dates.

The Boardwalk is one of my favorite places on property, but oh my what a mess it is. The Cake Bake shop has had almost no advancement in construction since we were last there 8 months ago, the new ice cream place stinks, the brewing company closed, and the stress this puts on the remaining restaurants is unbearable. Trattoria walk up fills within minutes of opening, they used to have a trattoria to go option that no longer seems to be available or may just be filling up all pickup slots within moments, the whole food option scenario there is a disaster for what should be the crown jewel of the Epcot side. They need to give the Cake Bake shop an ultimatum time limit to finish, they are at least another 6 months out if not longer.
