Fantasy Springs is opening June 6th 2024

Yes. There's also the ship in front of the fortress and the area there close to the water which are decent spots (better than the front DPA area in my opinion).
When we went in 2019 we were walking around the fortress and happened to be at the top when a show started during the day. It was a nice spot

is it worth it to get premier access for any of the shows or parades?
We purchased Premier Access (or whatever it was called) for Sea of Dreams at DisneySea and didn't believe it was worth it.

The only space available was under a speaker and it was uncomfortably loud. And it was standing room only - they didn't ask the people in the "front" to sit down.

And, as for most things, you're at the mercy of your fellow guests. The people in front of us held up their phones to record 90% of the show. So, our "view" was the show as being displayed on their tiny phone screens.

Also our back was mostly to the Miracosta so we didn't have the benefit of viewing the show with the "background" of the projections across the surface of the hotel.

I also wasn't a huge fan of the show in general. It utilises a lot of face characters, but even being "close" in the paid areas, you can barely see them. The fact that it's dark also doesn't help see the face characters.

Mythica remains my all-time favour harbour show and I wish they would bring it back.

For me, the shows in the new BATB theatre at DL and Big Band Beat at DS were much better experiences.

Did you do entry request for those two? We were lucky enough to win the lottery for Big Band Beat last time

I’m trying to decide if we should fool with riding Soaring or not. It’s not one of our favorite rides.

Random Happy Entry question…if staying at Mira Costa do you have to go to the main DisneySea park entrance for happy 15 or do you use the Mira Costa exclusive entrance? Thanks!

I could be wrong but I believe you have to use the regular entrance for happy 15. I don't think the exclusive entrance opens until a little later in the morning or maybe at regular opening. I could be wrong, but that's the impression I got from the recent video from TDR Explorer.

I haven't been yet, but my understanding is the MiraCosta exclusive entrance doesn't open until later in the day (like 10:00 am?), so for Happy 15 you go through a special security line at the main entrance. I watched a youtube video that looked like the special security line is all the way to the right side and then once through that, you line up at the turnstiles. To get to the special security line, there was an outdoor staircase at MiraCosta (ask at check-in) but if you miss that, you can also ask cast members near the regular security lines and they can direct you.

Miracosta DisneySea entrance doesn't open until 10am, so not usable for Happy Entry, which can be way more than 15 minutes before official park opening time.

For Mickey's Magical Music World, we lined up for the first showing of the day which is all standby.

For Big Band Beat, we had luck winning the lottery AFTER purchasing the "Premier Access" for Sea of Dreams. I don't know if it was a coincidence or not, but if we tried for an Entry Request / lotter after paying for tickets / access, then we were successful.

Did any of you who booked vacation packages get confirmation emails? I see my reservations in my travel case so I know they are there but I did not get an email. Wasn't sure if they send one out or my email server blocked it as there was nothing in junk either.

Yes, and always immediately. If it's in your travel case I wouldn't worry too much, maybe save a PDF of the confirmation from the travel case (I will be printing everything before I travel).

Thanks, I have already captured screen shots of my confirmation when I booked it and added to my travel itinerary. Not sure where the email went I checked all my folders. I did get the ones from disney about changing my address though to complete the booking :confused3

Because I'm now back in the queue to book another package and have 40 minutes to burn, a few notes on my (very lucky, but frankly heroic) 2-night August Fantasy Springs Hotel package booking for those interested...

- After an hour or so of refreshing the Vacation Package page, I was let in the queue at about 2:40p (Japan time) for the 3p release

- Initially my estimated time of entry was 3:01p (at this point I figured I had a shot), which was eventually stretched to 3:02

- I had a couple of other back-up devices going with 3:04/3:05 times (would be nice to have those spots now as I wait), but I fumbled those away once I got focused on this booking

- I had already logged in and pre-populated the reservation request prior to entering the queue - it was still there and I think this helped

- At the time I was actually let in (more like 3:03p at this point), there were Rose Court, Entry side and Bay Side rooms available (no Springs side rooms or Grand Chateau)

- I initially went for a Rose Court Superior Alcove Park View - it went through for like 10 seconds and then I got an error message that the room was no longer available (crushing!) and figured I was destined for a smoking room at the Hilton Tokyo Bay

- Down but not out! I found myself back at the initial screen and grabbed a Rose Court Superior Alcove (standard view), but would it last?!?

- The next several stages were as expected (I had done a prior dummy reservation which I purchased and cancelled so started to find my groove at this point), but with the thrill of agonizingly slow load times. I think once you get to the screen where you're contemplating the ramifications of a 6:30a breakfast, you're at least somewhat locked in.

- Finally I got to the payment screen and the card (a Venture X) I had successfully used before for the dummy booking was already pre-populated, so I figured I was golden. It even got me to verified by Visa and sent me the text message code to confirm (as it did during the dummy), but you guessed it...card denied.

- But again, your boy got up off the mat and kept punching! I was still on the payment screen, so entered a different card (this time an AMEX Platinum) and bamn...verifcation/text code...success

Ok, 20 minutes to go (4:03p entry) for what I hope will be an additional one-night package at Mira Costa. I haven't had this much fun booking something Disney for years! Happy to answer any questions...

Awesome!!! Did you get the Mira costa package too?

Am I interpreting that we can book the dining reservations one day in advance of the general public if you are staying on site for the restaurants inside the parks? I booked Canna and Oceana dinners already. Not sure if I will keep these if we can get some of the more coveted park restaurants. It also looks like the travel packages will allow us to dine in the fantasy spring restaurant in the park but not the new hotel, only if you stay there.

One interesting thing I was pondering is that for opening day, I believe the only guests with happy entry to DisneySea will be those staying at MiraCosta. Guests staying at Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel will be eligible for Happy Entry at Tokyo DisneySea starting June 7, 2024. It does look like ticket sales at the FSH will open at 6AM on the 6th but without happy entry, those who purchased a 1-day passport for opening day will presumably need to wait for regular park opening time to get in. I imagine many FSH guests will just wait until the day of their 1-day passport in their vacation package, rather than rushing to be there early before check-in.

Of course, there is the new entrance directly into Fantasy Springs from the new hotel. I couldn't find any details on whether they will have that entrance open for opening day at park opening or not. They list hotel entry time as 12pm on the 6th, but since they show ticket sales opening at 6AM, I have a feeling they will have the Fantasy Springs specific entrance open at park opening time. It would be pretty rude of them to dangle that entrance in front of hotel guests but not let them in, after all!

So the question will be, how early do I plan to get into the happy entry line on opening day? There's something exciting about the thought of being there (briefly) before it's absolutely full of people! Since it's my first trip to Japan, I don't know my way around the park yet, but I hear it will be a trek to get to the FS area from the entrance. So even if the FSH guests are held back for those 15 minutes, they could conceivably beat me in anyways. Hopefully they will release a bit more information ahead of opening day to help me decide :rotfl:

Edit: So it is still undetermined!
  • Entry time into Fantasy Springs from the Fantasy Springs Entrance and the Grand Chateau Gateway will be announced as soon as it is determined.
