Pick up tickets at Will Call? This is new to me...

Howdy ho pardners!

We booked a trip in May through Costco Travel. Got a great deal on a week long stay at the Dolphin and 6 day tickets for four.

Last time we went (in March) they shipped the MagicBands to the house. This time, I got this in email:
"Below please find an updated itinerary that includes the Will Call Certificate and the Disney Reservation Number for your Walt Disney World® tickets."

Will Call? I'm not entirely excited about flying coast to coast without something in my hands. I'm also not excited about not having MagicBands.

Is this something I should be concerned about? Is it something I can change?

Link the Disney Reservation number to your My Disney Experience account. Your tickets will show up there and then you will be able to customize and receive Magic Bands. Or the Magic Bands from your previous trip. It's up to you.

If you didn't have a My Disney Experience account, you would take the Will Call Certificate to a Guest Services location and they would give you key cards that have your tickets on them.
 
Swan & Dolphin do not get magic bands. You can use your old ones or buy new ones from the Disney Store for your park ticket, fastpasses and photopass. You cannot charge back to your room at the S&D using a magic band or use it as a room key.

You can link the tickets to your Disney account now with the certificate number.

Thanks for the correction about no Magic Bands. Totally missed the fact OP was staying at Dolphin. :duck:
 


Ok, I get it now... still nervous about flying cross country to pick up tickets at will call. Seems odd to me.
 
I’m not understanding the nervousness. Link those tickets to your Disney account right now and assign them to your family members. You can make FastPass reservations when it’s time for you to do so. No tickets in your Disney account means no advance fastpasses for you. All you have to do when you get to Disney is go to any ticket window or guest services to get your plastic ticket to scan at the turnstiles and FP entrances. If you have a smartphone just pull the ticket email up at the ticket window. No need to worry about losing pieces of paper.
 
I had to use a will call slip when we purchased tickets through the YES program. It was super easy to retrieve our tickets at Guest Services. Link in MDE and stop at guest services. It will be fine!
 


So, Bree... Once I've linked my tickets online, we can use the MagicBands we got in March just as we did then? Understanding that we can't use them at Dolphin, of course.

I think my apprehension comes from always having the tickets shipped to me before we leave, previously. Flying across the planet is always fraught with anxiety for me anyway.

Yes your tickets will link to any current active Magic Band in your account. I stayed at the Swan last month, and had no issues using my band for my park ticket.
