So, I’m considering buying my 5 day hopper now for March since there will probably be a price increase in the new year.

How much do you think Maxpass will go up from the introductory price?

If I buy from LMT club it’s $300.

If I buy with maxpass from Disney it’s $400 but I have target gift cards so it’s $380.

If MP doubles to $20 per ticket per day I’d be paying $400 total upgrading to MP once I get there buying from LMT. I’d lose $20. (Or I could just buy 4 days of MP.

If it only goes up $15/day it’s $375. It would pay for MP just buying from them.

What would you do?

If it was me I would probably go ahead and buy the tickets now and wait on the MP. It is a risk but probably one I would take.
I'm one who buys my tickets early. I booked my Sep/Oct trip this year last October and bought my 10day hopper ticket shortly after that - 10 or 11 mths out. Like you, I knew the price would go up in the NY so I went ahead and got them - a risk that far out but one I took.
I think it's anyone's guess with MP at this point as you know. I definitely think it will go up but that may not happen till closer to SWL opening - maybe?? : )
I would chance it myself I think. It may very well remain the same price into March.

I could see them going to $15. $20 would be too aggressive of an increase IMO. I'm definitely buying at $10/day. $20 I'm definitely out. $15? I'm not sure. I'd have to think about it.

I would go without MP for now. When you get there, you may not even want to buy it every day. MP sounds great for getting in as many rides as possible. Is that something you'd want to do every day? Would you have a day or 2 where you'd want to take things more slowly and not do as many rides? Those are things to consider when you think about adding MP to each day. I'd always do it day by day, but I like to go with the flow vs. planning out the entire day.
