I'm sure this has been posted somewhere, but I'm looking for your favorite park bags! I don't have children, so I don't carry a lot of stuff, but I need more than a fanny pack or the like. I carried a Kavu rope sling bag in October, and it was fine, except there were days where I needed a light jacket in the morning, but by mid-afternoon didn't and had to carry it around. My friends call me Dory, so the less I have in my hands, the less I'm bound to leave things somewhere. So, ideally something lightweight, but sturdy enough to carry some basic essentials without being too bulky.

Ideas?
Thanks!

In the past I’ve used Vera Bradley hipsters (crossbody). This trip I’m worried about being cold so I’m bring a cinch backpack that can fit my sweatshirt.

I have this black mesh backpack that I like to take. It has a small zippered mesh pocket on the outside and a small non-see through pocket on the inside that’s large enough to hold my cell and cash/cards etc. and since it’s mesh it’s a breeze to go through security. It’s handy, because I don’t worry about it getting wet, squished, or anything. When I was deployed I used to use it as a shower bag since it (and everything inside it) dries quick if/when it gets wet. If you do get trinkets you’ll also have a nice light bag to put your stuff in. :)

I'm a photographer, so if I'm bringing my gear I'll use my leather Ona Palma bag. It's perfect for my camera, an extra lens, and a few other park essentials. However lately I've been traveling much lighter so I stick with a small D&B Disney crossbody!

For me - I try to pick a jacket/extra layer that I can tie around my waist all day - so I don't have to carry it. I tie the sleeves in a knot around my waist - and I tend to forget its there.

BUT - when I do think I am going to need extra space - I bought a drawstring backpack at Disney for that. (Specifically - I bought the one with cartoon Mickey on it that they have been selling for years now). It's super lightweight and I can cram my "warmth layer" in it - assuming its not a really winter coat - just a long sleeve shirt or a light sweatshirt. Now - I don't think these are much bigger than the one you already mentioned.

Biggest trick for me? Be a little cold in the morning and don't wear the jacket in the first place! Or if that is unavoidable due to the temp range expected - I get a locker.

I have a tactical style crossbody... holds a lot of stuff in 3 separate pockets (the main has an inner pocket also) I usually have all my med stuff, blister kit, chapstick, bandaids, etc, a small packable rain jacket, sunglasses and case, charge cords, fuel rod, and there is plenty room left for small souvenirs or snacks... it also has a water bottle holder pouch... it was $15 online. It also packs away into the storage area or foot area of every ride...

My favorite is my Timbuk2 Mission Cycling Especial Raider Backpack. I don't think they make it any longer but they do make some other variation of that same backpack.

I usually bring a small drawstring backpack- I have 2 Disney-themed ones. There's one that they're selling in the World of Disney currently with adjustable straps and a side pocket for your phone. It's also just the right amount of sparkly!! :)

I have this bag.

Yes it’s a backpack intended for use with drones and cameras but hear me out. It’s smaller than a full size backpack but is expandable and has configurable storage. I’ll admit I haven’t tested it but it should fit in the ride vehicle cargo nets on rides like expedition Everest or space mountain. Plus it clamshells with a retention net built in so getting through security is easy without everything falling out.

I have a backpack (it's my OrangeTheory one). I used to carry a drawstring bag, but I like the backpack more now. It's small-ish so I can still carry it on the rides, but I can also stuff a light sweater in there in case I need it. Plus then all of my things aren't just jumbled in there together, there are separate pockets and such.

We do the Vera Bradley backpacks. Plenty of room for a warm layer (as long as it's not a parka or something), and whatever else we carry. Padded straps, lightweight, we almost forget it's on.

I use a small Disney Dooney letter carrier for my immediate needs. Then a small Jansport Disney backpack for jacket and other supplies like dry socks, contact lens stuff, first aid, etc. The backpack goes into a locker where I also stash the souvies I pick up during the day from time to time.

I had a Disney Vera Bradley hipster that I used for awhile. Then I switched to a mini backpack from Jansport. I love it because it's light but durable, and I can wash it when needed. I only carry a water bottle, sunscreen, a card case (for my credit card and driver's license), my phone, and a small umbrella, so I could probably squeeze a light jacket in there if I needed it.
