Best product to help with things chaffing!?

Do you use a product specific to chaffing? Or has anyone had any luck with baby powder? I tried using deodorant last trip and it wasn't working lol
Body Glide, I believe its under $10 and that will last you tons. I wear it when I work out too, wear dresses in the summer, etc. to prevent chaffing in my inner thighs. We have foot glide too--same company--my hubby who is prone to blisters, uses that. I honestly don't know if its the same stuff as the body glide regular though--it may be

I mentioned this thread to my wife. She said she tried Body Glide but for her, it made her thigh sticky more together. She said she has tried Gold Bond but didn't like it (didn't give me a specific reason). She is currently using SportSlick and likes it the best.

Monistat anti-chafing gel. It dries to a nice powdery finish, and works very well. And it's easy to find at drug stores like Walgreens. Plus it's not very expensive.

I haven't gotten to try the Monistat gel in the parks yet (soon!) but I used it at the beach last summer, walking around in my bathing suit, and it worked really well. I was very impressed with it!

Another vote for the Monistat anti chaffing gel. It also works great at keeping your make-up from melting off. It lasts for about 4 hours, but is small enough to be carried into the parks to be reapplied.

For dresses, I wear Jockey skimmies. They're ridiculously comfortable (nothing like shapewear) and I can pull the legs up or down depending on the length of my dress. They don't ride up, they're sweat-wicking, and very breathable. Highly recommend them for anyone with chub rub!
I also sacrifice my fashion a little bit and tend to buy shorts with longer inseams (5" or 6") to avoid skin-to-skin contact. It really helps and I would rather wear longer shorts than use gel or chafe cream.
Monistat anti-chafing gel is great and feels like butter, however I find I have to reapply it once every hour or so and I don't like that hassle. Plus for the thighs it's a tad awkward doing that in public...

I'm a little heavier, so sometimes if I wear textured tank tops my armpit area will chafe. I will either apply extra deodorant, or use the Monistat gel. It's also important to avoid irritating textures/fabrics, and don't forget to lotion your armpits on a daily anyway! It helps with chafing and our armpits have some of the most sensitive skin on our bodies.

I use Body Glide all over my feet and in between my toes. Found out about this gem a couple trips ago and now I will not go to Disney without it. Haven't gotten one blister since I started using it. I also use Monistat anti chafing powder gel under my bra area and in between my legs. Since I am on the heavier side the Monistat really prevents chaffing.

Years ago when I nursed and had to wear support hose with my uniform the chafing was terrible, stick Sure unscented worked wonders for me. Passed it onto my son and he had the whole marching band using it! We've also used body glide for shoes.

I have not tried gold bond yet ( will be testing that soon based on these reviews!) but I run and I have tried MULTIPLE anti-chafe products for summer time heat and humidity. So far the best I've found is something from 2Toms called Sports Shield, it is very slippery and rolls on. I have had no problems with it leaving any stains or anything of the sort and have managed to get through half marathons without reapplying however in the highest humidity in Florida that I've been in (labor day weekend temps), I did end up reapplying once or twice during the day. I also really like Ruby's Lube lately it's all natural and while I have to apply it more frequently I prefer the ingredients. I have never had too much luck with sticks like body glide though, I don't like the way the texture sits on my and much prefer the more slippery products. I really only use the anti chafe though for my inner thighs and have never tested these anywhere else!

I guess I don't understand the need...if your clothes or shoes cause chafing, aren't they just not fitting right? If I had a pair of shoes or shirt/pants that caused chafing, you can bet I wouldn't be wearing those items anymore!

The clothes might be perfectly fine for normal wear, but try it walking 10 miles in Florida in July and there is another issue. Yes, some of us buy special clothes or shoes, my DH for instance bought special loose-fit, moisture-wicking, quick dry clothing, but still had cotton underwear. Well after sweating all day or even a water ride or rain shower, wet cotton underwear can cause some damage. He was lucky that I had packed the monistat chafing gel.

I use Lanacane anti-chafing gel. It works well with things like cuffed jean shorts, as it keeps the extra fabric from riding up and causing chafing. It's also helpful when in a dress and you don't have extra shorts on underneath.

I don't usually have any issues with shoes. I always wear well broken in athletic shoes w/socks.
I think the body chafing happens more if you are over weight. I never had any problems until I gained 10 extra lbs. then I did have issues. Lost that weight, now I'm fine again. It's the heat plus humidity that usually causes it.

Best solution for this is a pair of close-fitting, breathable cotton spandex shorts (if the chafing is caused by thighs under a skirt)

If you're chafing and you're already wearing pants/shorts, they don't come up high enough in the crotch and you need a different pair. Get cloth in between the body parts!

Also, Monistat anti-chafe powder gel is good.
Yes! I wear a pair of Jockey brand shorts from Kohls under dresses.

Mega Babe Thigh Rescue is great! I got it at ulta ....with a coupon it was around $11.
