>> Refillable Mug FAQ <<

That's what we did last month. We needed 6 different mugs so I brought black, green, and purple lids along from our stash of mugs.
So for the last few years the lids are pretty much interchangeable? I have the cups with previous design and colored handles, then a set of handleless ones, and then another set with the white handles....think I’ll go down and make sure earlier lids fit the white handles cups and I should be good to go. My son’s fave color is green so I’ll bring that one for sure

Yep, they're interchangeable. The style of the mug hasn't changed for probably at least the last 10 years (other than losing the handle for a few months -- but the size didn't change) only the design/picture on the mug has changed. I think one or two of the lids I took along were from at least as early as 2015 (possibly 2013) based on how far down in the bin 'o mugs I had to dig. :)

Honestly, I bring a little dishwashing lotion and wash them each time we use them. Then it doesn't matter who has which one each time.

We do take dish washing liquid and a bottle brush to wash the mugs daily. My husband drinks a lot of coffee in his and no matter how much it gets washed I still taste coffee. I don't like my ice tea with a hint of coffee so I don't want to use his mug. Once we're home, he's the only one who actually uses the mugs and he uses them for coffee only so it doesn't matter. But when we're there, we all like to keep our "own" mugs. Various colored lids also makes it helpful when one person takes 6 mugs to the food court to fill them. There's no "which one is mine" and pulling off all of the lids when you get back to the room. Just hand out the appropriate colored mug to the appropriate person.

For those if you who, like me, prefer to use dish soap when washing your cups but don't want to bring an extra liquid.... Bounty makes a soap infused paper towel. I cut them in quarters and throw a bunch in a Ziploc bag and use them to clean my cups and cereal bowls.

Secondly, we are on the DP but going via split stay. My understanding is that once activated the mugs are good for 14 days. However, instead of getting 3 sets of 5 mugs each do we simply forfeit getting the mugs for stays 2 and 3 or is there any way to credit that back anyhow?

3 separate packages? Not my business but I hope you’ve done the math to make sure that the dining plan makes total financial sense to do three packages for your stay. Especially since the mug isn’t a value to you for two of the stays.

(I am a person for whom the plan isn’t a value. Doesn’t match how we eat. So I’m always hyper aware of questions about its value.)

Actually, thanks for the concern. The middle, largest portion is Free Dining plan. The first is deluxe, the third is standard. We actually dropped the dining plan for my parents on their third part due to the cost vs value analysis. It was standard across the board, but we recently adjusted after analysis of it all. We do enjoy the convenience of not having to price point worry about what the kids eat or don't eat as well as whether or not we have enough to choose one entree over a different priced one.

Never heard of those, but that is a genius idea!
