We did that after our Alaska cruise. It was very easy with the bus departing directly from the cruise terminal. Can absolutely recommend. We flew from Victoria to San Francisco then afterwards to see my aunt. When you are coming from Europe, it’s just around the corner. 😉

If I remember correctly, the shop at Summer House on the Lake at DS did have wine for purchase. We also loved the food at the restaurant and especially the brown butter rice crispy treat from their cookie counter. So I can definitely recommend stopping by there.

We took the train, too. It was easy to do. But we took the metro to the train station. Seemed like a fairly far walk.
