Four days at Disneyland; how would you split them up?

Are you traveling with kids? If so, what are their ages? In general, I consider DCA much less fun than DL. I love things about it but there just isn't enough for me, an older adult with no kids along, to want to spend a whole day there. They've also removed some of my favorite things, in...

    Disneyland bubble

I always feel the Disney bubble, even when I'm on the monorail and viewing the backstage areas, Harbor Blvd, etc. It's like looking down at the poor people who aren't inside ha ha. I love the way Walt & Co thought forward to make sure Disneyland gave you the feeling of being removed from the...

    Buy your own Haunted Mansion?

As much as I love HM, I don't want to live (or unlive) in it. But it brings up an interesting question: if you were to live in a house modeled after a DL attraction, which would you choose?

    The Disneyland Hotel Superthread

I don't know if this really matters or not, but last time I went, I checked in online prior to our trip but still went to the front desk to check where they put us because I have certain preferences (this was at GCH but the same is true resort-wide). They may have looked at those preferences...

    Buy your own Haunted Mansion?

There's one for sale in Georgia! Or at least, one inspired by it. It was built by a former Disney contractor and is pretty amazing. Asking price is $2.2 million. https://news.yahoo.com/replica-disneyland-haunted-mansion-attraction-194339024.html

    Grand Californian Super Thread

They do seem to use the line system now, at least in the times I've been in the last year. They have you line up near the entrance from the lobby. I can't remember the exact setup but I think there is a side for to-go orders and next to it is another line for those waiting for a table. We did...

    Anaheim Hotel vs. Cambria

The pictures of Cambria hotel look nice, but I have no experience there so keep that in mind. My answer depends on several factors. First, how many people in your party? Kids/ages? Touring style? Second, don't underestimate the convenience of walking back and forth to your hotel. That...

    Your Touring Style

It depends on why I'm there and who I'm with. In general, I don't try to hit all the rides. I'm there often enough that it doesn't matter if I miss something this trip. I also tend to go with the flow and I enjoy experiences more than back-to-back rides. If I'm with my kids (all adults, but...

Anyone but me seem to think its Silly to blame Vloggers/Magic Key Holders for issues at the Park?

Frank takes up one spot on the bench and he only goes in the morning. He's happy to share the bench. I do understand the frustration, but realistically, how much time do most people want to spend sitting on the porch, especially in the morning? I guess I kind of admire an old guy with so many...

    World to land help

No, I haven't, but I've heard great things about it. It's generally significantly more money than the motels around it but has some wonderful features (good suites, nice amenities) and is a full service hotel. However, if I'm paying that much, I'll just stay on site since I don't need a suite.

    World to land help

Hello and welcome! I hope you will have a very magical stay! You should get lots of great feedback here. 1. I don't know about the beds at Pixar Place because they're brand new. There will be other people who have stayed there so I'll let them answer. 2. If you stay at a Disneyland Resort...

    Rats or vermin in parks?

My uncle was a research scientist. He mostly studied insects and worked in a lab to research pest control. My mom told a story of how when Disneyland was fairly young, he and his team were called to test out safe methods for vermin control. There were no people in the park, just testing...

    Carthay Circle Tour

I would love to do this again. I took the tour several years ago and it was wonderful. I'd actually forgotten about it! However, I can't find anything mentioning it since about 2017 so I'm guessing they eliminated the tour, possibly post-Covid.

    Pixar Place Superthread

WOW! That's weird. Maybe they're short staffed at the moment? I mean, to me that's in both the late lunch and early dinner zone!

    Rats or vermin in parks?

I've seen a couple of mice, once in a planter and once on the way out of Indy just before you get to the end. I've also seen a couple of big ones wearing clothes on Main St.

    A handful of questions...

So were you staying at GCH? I wonder if it only works for the restaurants that are in the hotel at which you're staying?

    A handful of questions...

That's interesting. I always have my resort reservation linked and have never noticed any advantage--meaning that the reservations seem to disappear as quickly for me as for everyone else. But it's hard to test that without having someone else (like you and your husband did) try at the same time.

    A handful of questions...

Yes, they SAY there is "preferred access to hotel dining reservations," but in spite of what it says, I believe that what they may actually do is hold back a few extra reservations for guests who were unable (or didn't try) to make online reservations in advance. In other words, I think it's...

    A handful of questions...

It's random. It's SUPPOSED to be 6 am PST, but it could be almost anytime after midnight...or not at all that day. Quite annoying!! But generally speaking, Trader Sam's opens their reservations slots at 6 am Pacific time 60 days out. Edited to add that DLR does not give any priority to on site...
