    SSR or moderate

This is with the stay longer and save more deal they are running right now. I decided to check because I’ve never paid $350 a night for a moderate even the one time I went without a discount (November 2022). You just have to do a mock booking on the Disney site and the prices are right there...

    SSR or moderate

Depends on the time of year but you can get moderates for as low as $240 a night with tax (that’s only looking at May and June 2024) so it’s a big jump cost wise when you’re accounting for multiple days. $450 a night is a big jump IMO.

    Debt Dumpers 2024

You can put frozen meat in a skillet. It’ll take a bit longer to cook (minutes not hours) but it’ll be fine. Water baths don’t take 8 hours. I can defrost a chicken breast or two very quickly. We’re not talking about a thanksgiving turkey here.

    Debt Dumpers 2024

Then at this point you’re just being wasteful. Why would you throw out perfectly good frozen meat? You can start cooking ground beef if it’s still frozen. You can also thaw meat in a water bath. It’s pretty quick too.

    Debt Dumpers 2024

You have to start meal planning. Plan out each meal and only buy what you need. Write down each ingredient you’ll need on your list. This will save you a ton of money and help your waistline. Not having something to cook and ordering out is bad for your wallet and health. If I notice we...

    Gender Reveal parties

Yup I’m seeing that now with the new generation! I have heard some of the younger ones (20s) have started being apart of planning their own showers and some downright throw their own shower. But the smaller work showers, friends showers, etc are still usually a surprise.

    Gender Reveal parties

Same. Except I do think gender reveals are a bit silly but I still attend and am excited for my family and or friends. I do not give a gift and have never been to one that asked for gifts. It’s a nice time to have some snacks, maybe drinks and hang out and have fun since with my large family a...

Should Disney Park Tickets Be Cheaper on Days With Early Special Event Closure?

I think they should but I don’t think they have to since it’s their business to do as they please. People can just choose not go that day if they don’t want to pay.

    Sister Wives

Christine also mentioned she didn’t think it was a good idea. That politically Gwen was very different than the boys and she felt it could get ugly if they lived together.

    Sister Wives

I’m not judging them. Just because we would’ve done things differently doesn’t mean we are judging them. We were very supportive and extremely helpful as his friends were actually closer to him than most of his family. Yes we felt it would’ve been nice had they gone another route but at the end...

    Sister Wives

We had a close friend die to suicide last year and it was devastating. I can’t even fathom losing a child in that way. Janelle and Christine loved those children so very much. (I know the whole family did but those two were a bit different) If they continue to air the show I hope they really...

8 hour drive for a short trip?

An Eight hour drive is nothing to me especially leaving at 4-5 am. You essentially get a full day at your destination. I would do it in a heartbeat. Especially since your kids are good travelers. I’m in NJ and done the 16 hour drive in one day several times.

    Debt Dumpers 2024

This is really great progress! Not adding any new debt is huge! Starting a budget can be hard and takes trial and error. You’ll get the hang of it. As for working out. I enjoy doing it alone. That’s my ME time. I prefer to do it alone. I encourage my SO to work out (he’s thin but I think it’s...

2025 - Free Water Park Day for Resort Guests on Check-in Day!

Since it’s only for arrival day I don’t think it’s going to effect crowds much at the water parks. If it was for any day of your trip it would be a different story. Someone also made a point on another thread that the water parks clear out mid afternoon much like AK does. This may be their way...

2025 - Free Water Park Day for Resort Guests on Check-in Day!

It could also be due to low attendance at the water parks. If they give people a free pass they are more likely to spend on food, drinks and merchandise. Win win for Disney. Disney could also be expecting lower bookings in 2025 so they’re starting off with an incentive and see how it goes. I...

Should I force my kids to go to Disney?

The OP has a summer beach trip planned and a fall cabin trip planned for this year that the entire family will be going on. Disney isn’t their only family vacation for the year. I don’t think the OP should have to give up Disney if it’s something she enjoys and other family members also enjoy...
