Where are you getting that they may close YC?

Moving luggage from one hotel to another

I will say this OP, since you’re at OKW…when we stayed there in Sep. we were on the bus (2nd pickup/dropoff—South Point I think) I was surprised to see a group get on the bus with all their luggage. Bus driver didn’t say anything. They all got off at hospitality house, I’m sure due to checking...

    Unpleasant experience at BW

There should’ve been signs placed in your room, doors to the resort, and bottled water left in your room!

    Housekeeping

We stayed at Marriott Courtyard last month and the official “policy” on housekeeping was every other day. However, we got housekeeping every day with the exception of 1 day. Agree that Disney is not unique in this.

    Skipping mousekeeping

Not sure how housekeeping can just barge in if your deadbolt and security latch is in place? 🤷‍♀️

If I need urgent care for an eye issue, which would you recommend near WDW?

Maybe call your own eye doctor and see if they can write a prescription to a national chain of pharmacies (Walgreens, CVS) and then you can pick up the prescription.

    Arrival Day

We typically have taken a redeye from Seattle and would arrive around 8:00am. Our usual plan would be to check-in to let them know we were actually here and ask politely if there might be a room available early. We've been pretty lucky to always have had a room before noon. We generally have...

Your best “beat the heat” products

I have the pink and I never had any problems either. Maybe there was a bad lot?🤷‍♀️

Moving luggage from one hotel to another

I wondered this myself and figured they were using Mears

Any tips for me? I was just diagnosed with T2 Covid induced diabetes!

I’d get some box juices to keep in your room in case you have a low during the night. String cheese is a great snack we take since there’s minimal carbs.

Honest opinion. No Genie+ in June

Depending on how large your group is, it may be more difficult getting return times with G+ with a large group. You. Ay need to split your group to find better return times. We’ve gone in the middle of July and did all the parks without G+ and managed just fine, but YMMV.

Strategy of Park Hopping with car rental, which would you select?

I would not drive, especially to MK! Crowds are absolutely a nightmare getting back to the TTC. Ic ant imagine how bad on a holiday weekend! It was so bad a couple years ago. Y kids never wanted to go back to MK! Disney transportation is fine. Especially when you’re at a resort like AKL. Now if...

MCO to Trattoria al Forno for Breakfast?

We’ve sat on the tarmac at MCO for 45 min waiting for our gate to clear out from another plane. I think you are tempting fate with that reservation. Too many variables from traffic, mix up with the stroller, missing bags, etc, not to mention we typically wait 10 minutes for rideshare these days...

    What’s up with park hours?

You generally can find last minute ADRs a ton easier last minute than in years past.

    ECV Rental

A rented wheelchair would not take up as much real estate in a room either

Is the heat of September worth the smaller crowds?

I had a hot pink towel and didn't notice any dye running. I actually wasn't aware of that issue! Wow, that would make for a miserable experience. We washed it along with my mom's pink disney cooling towel every few days on cold and just let it line dry. I'll admit, I'm not a huge fan of the...

    Scooter/Wheelchair Advice

Thank you SO much! Even though I have plenty of practice measuring and ordering custom wheelchairs, I’ve never flown with one before! My OT/PT supervisor has a DH with ALS and uses a very complicated power chair. I just remember some of the horror stories she had breaking that chair down and...

Renewed DAS online today for trip next month. Some changes. Some confirmations.

How bizarre! That doesn’t even make sense (but then again, this whole slew of changes has been confusing)! Hoping this is a “new” CM to this role and that this was a mistake, otherwise WOW!

    Needle Disposal in Resorts

I find taking a needle clipper works really great for travel where there might be difficulty finding a readily available sharps container. I actually find it easier to use at home than a sharps container. But yes, housekeeping will bring one to the room!

First time to Disney as a diabetic! Also have traumatic brain injury……

So sorry you’re dealing with all this. I too have neuropathy (both feet to my thighs and now hands) so I completely u derstand your struggles. Frio has all sizes of wallets. I have one that can hold 2 pens and one that can hold an insulin vial. Even though I have an insulin pump, my...
