We might skip the Luau as well. We also waited too long to book at Aulani but I have to admit I was dragging my feet about booking it due to the cost. Would we be breaking some unwritten rule by going to Hawaii for the first time and not attending a Luau?! :P

I've heard Aulani compared to DCL on land. One of our favorites things on DCL is room service. A bummer that it won't be an option. Not a deal breaker for sure but disappointing.

Horseback riding and Zip-lining are on lists of must-dos for two of my kids. Had no idea the experiences could be combined. We were thinking of horse back riding at Kuoloa. I wonder how Gunstock Ranch compares. Would be nice to get both activities done at practically the same location!
