Back from a wonderful trip! Report and pictures. April 7-9

Last time we were at Oga's, it seems like we sat at the bar, although I can't say I'm 100% on that. Anyone know if the bar can be requested? Also, if you're waiting, do they give you a buzzer or do you have to wait there in person?

    The Disneyland Hotel Superthread

That's pretty standard for how room service breakfast works in just about any hotel.

My Disneyland dining reviews, with pictures

I've been wanting to try the Banoffee Pie, glad to hear you liked it! I usually get the macaron at Jolly Holiday so I'll have to pry myself away from it. That chicken looks like a piece of sandpaper.

    **July 2024 Check-In**

Most of the restaurants that I like, I like because of the atmosphere. You can get great food outside of Disneyland, but you can't get the atmosphere at the DL restaurants anywhere but DL. The one restaurant we never miss is Blue Bayou. I personally prefer Carnation Cafe to Plaza Inn because I...

What to Drink That Isn't SUGAR?

The half lemonade, half soda is a great idea! You might try the iced green tea at Starbucks (which is Fiddler, Fifer and Practical Cafe on Buena Vista Street in DCA, Market House on Main Street in DL, and also one in DTD). It doesn't have a strong green tea flavor because it's actually what...

    Pixar Fest- April 26-August 4

"New this year, the menu at Troubadour Tavern in Disneyland park will transform to feature Pixar-inspired bites and beverages." Looks like they've totally redone the menu here. Roundup BBQ Potato inspired by “Toy Story”: Brisket burnt ends tossed in Coca-Cola BBQ sauce, creamy slaw, pickle...

    The Disneyland Hotel Superthread

I used to review hotels for a living. My company reimbursed for arrival tips to the bellman who brought bags to the room, and to the doorman if there was one. They would not reimburse for tips to two bellman (ie, one at the car and one in the room) nor did they reimburse tips to the valet on...

    Disneyland table service

I agree re: Carthay Circle. The food was pretty good but not awesome; the ambience was great, but the fact that people were so dressed down made it less special for me. That and the fact that people were so oblivious to their overly tired, misbehaving kids. If I'm spending that kind of $$, I...

    The Disneyland Hotel Superthread

If luggage is not being brought up, we tip at the car -- if someone actually got our luggage out, which is more and more of a rarity these days. If luggage is being brought up, we only tip at the room, $1-$2 per bag. We also tip on departure, one tip for the valet and a separate tip the bellman...

New Culinary Delights Coming to Downtown Disney District

DAS Outrage vs Genie Plus Outrage?

One of my daughters has a disability that qualifies her for DAS, but it isn't usually obvious (until it is). She's 20 years old, the right age for the social media types who brag about gaming the system, and I always feel like people are thinking we're cheating--so I hope the new process might...

Fifth day at DL would you pick Saturday or Thursday? (staying onsite)

Already know we're going to be there Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Would the 5th day be better on Saturday or Thursday in mid-July as far as crowds normally go? Staying onsite and we always do EE (or at least we did before they changed it to 30 minutes). Speaking of EE, did they change...

    July closures?

Yes, will definitely go and enjoy! I just like to have a plan and some idea of what I will encounter while I'm there. I'm disappointed that my daughter's two favorite attractions will be down, but you know what they say, any day at Disneyland is a good day! Honestly, as long as Pirates and BB...
