    TF Green 5am flight

Had a 7am flight out of a small airport (Burbank) last week. Got there two hours before, turns out the airport isn’t open at 5am. TSA opened around 5:30. Concessions weren’t open until 6. So check when TSA opens…

    D23 2022 News & Rumours

North of WDW about an hour the construction business never stopped. The developer went full speed ahead building houses, streets, recreation centers and golf courses. Since most construction is outside they did not consider it a risk.

    No more Prince or Princesses

Just get them shirts or buttons that say “please call me Princess” and I’m sure they’ll oblige. I believe they are trying to call people what they would prefer to be called, and if they don’t know they want to ensure they don’t call them something that would offend. If your make your...

Tips for navigating the airport with a large group (and multiple children)?

Please update us on how this worked out. I’m curious if there was family boarding from your airport, and for the non-family boarders if they were able to find seats together. Are you bringing car seats? Did you get early bird for any members of your party?

Would you drive or Fly to FL this Summer?

This is the biggest problem with thunderstorms every afternoon this time of year. Even if they get the planes in, if there is lightening in the area they can’t get the people outside to unload the luggage, and a delay earlier can back up things all evening.

Transportation to and from airport to Hotel

I used the Mears private car service from MCO to home here in central Florida a few weeks ago. Due to mechanical issues we ended up coming in 12 hours (the next day) late. They kept track of our flights and were there with their ipad sign at the bottom of the escalator when we arrived. Helped...

How do Mears Connect and Sunshine Flyer compare lately ??

I recently booked a Mears taxi to take me home from the airport (pickup at MCO, drop off in central Florida) and despite my return flight being delayed, and then changed and bouncing all over the driver was at the bottom of the escalator with our names on a tablet when we got there. He helped...

STAR WARS: GALACTIC STARCRUISER Official Information & Questions Thread

I am so rooting for this to be successful. Though Star Wars isn’t my thing, and I couldn’t sleep in a windowless room, if this is successful I could see them doing other immersive experiences, some of which might interest me. I will be very disappointed if they have to water this down because...

Parents Now Protected From Having To Pay Extra To Sit With Their Kids On Flights

If this becomes law I suspect what will happen is that if someone books with a child under 13 and doesn’t pick a seat a middle seat is set to unavailable and their group goes on a list. Once the number of groups on the list matches the dwindling number of seats together they will assign the...

    Pre-trip COVID anxiety - advice/anecdotes welcome!

If you are vaccinated and boosted and careful as you seem to be you will likely be fine. On the off chance you do end up with Covid, Paxlovid pills (the tamiflu of Covid) is pretty available in Florida with a prescription from the urgent care dr. So you have a reasonable backup.

    Disney Stock News & Earnings

The dissolution of RCID gives Disney a bogey man to point at when they cut back on infrastructure maintenance and new development. They pay taxes to Orange and Osceola counties right now, as well as going through some amount of oversite on safety and standards. That won’t change. What will...

A quick report on a long overdue trip: Disney Fantasy 3/12/22 & Galactic Starcruiser 3/19-21

It’s a shame they haven’t figured out transfers from the cruises yet. And unfortunately no surprise that some of the tech stuff didn’t work as staff expected. But it sounds like you made the best of it and were rewarded with some great experiences.

Thanks, I Hate It - Disney by non-Disney Fans (DUN)

I retired about an hour outside Orlando and have had two night trips to both Universal and Disney and agree that Universal is so much easier to plan that it’s just more enjoyable. Which is weird, considering I grew up a Disney fan.

STAR WARS: GALACTIC STARCRUISER Official Information & Questions Thread

I love hearing the experiences of former passengers. I have a few questions. For those who took children 7 or younger, would they have enjoyed spending those few days as park days more? Or did they really love the star cruiser experience? Also, I’m a bit claustrophobic. Do the “windows”...

    Has LL weakened the DAS

I wouldn’t be surprised if the LL wait times are more often over 10 minutes than they were in the past. Though I don’t think it’s because they are overselling Genie +. I think it is more likely more people are using DAS. In the past there were families that were eligible for DAS, but didn’t...
