Question about Dining Before/After Park Hours

We used to book an 8am Crystal Palace breakfast on days when MK opened at 9am (back in the day when only one park at a time opened early). We have some amazing photos of us on an empty Main St 😍

So much Disney food is terrible

There are plenty of good food places in Disney IMHO. Maybe the QS is not gourmet food exactly, but plenty of those would beat McDonalds hands down. We visit for 2 weeks and never tire of the food and snacks at WDW, my only concern is my waistline 🤣

    Polite Pig Dining Plan Question.

I wondered if the shakes are included in the QS meal plan, as it specifically says on the DDP information that it includes shakes, but do they mean here I wonder? If so, we'll be getting 2 burgers and 2 shakes with the QS dining plan, and use one snack credit to share some fries. Edited to...

    Pizza Pickup

I read it was possible in food courts e.g. Riverside Mill, where the large pizza is priced at $21.99. I'm sure it's similar at most food courts which sell those larger sized whole pizzas.

In Praise of Quieter Restaurants —help me with the list!

Here's my input to the quiet places: Narcoosees's first sitting at dinner, we always find it very quiet and relaxing. Sci-Fi, again an early lunch sitting, but mainly because nearly everyone's watching the 'movies and adverts' rather than chatting. Cosmic Rays - in my experience there are...

    Why is Poly so expensive

It's definitely not my first choice resort, I would prefer GF, but it's my nephew's 18th so he gets to choose. We have 8 nights at POR first then move to Poly for 5 nights, hopefully 🤞

    Why is Poly so expensive

We rented for many years and didn't have any issues, but as others have said it's not flexible. I'm renting next year because all the standard rooms at Poly are booked up (August 21st for 5 nights). We don't mind the 'less fancy' room, we just want to stay there (it's a birthday treat). My...

    Why is Poly so expensive

I am renting points for August 2025. $2650 for 5 nights for a studio for 2 of us. Hotel was £3000 (about $3650 I believe).

What's Your Favorite Song on Guardians of the Galaxy?

Disco Inferno for me (I'm 54 so maybe that's why!)

off property disney springs resort - with same perks??

I looked at staying off site once for a few nights but add in 'resort' fees (rip off charge I had not heard of before) and parking then it bumped the nightly price right up. Ended up renting points for SSR and got all the usual deluxe benefits as well.

    Overwhelmed and

I have just booked for August 2025 (13th for 13 nights - that sounds double unlucky!) 😁 Only been once in September, it was humid but I don't remember too much rain. The crowds were extremely low for us, I would not have needed Genie+. I last visited late August 2022 and only bought them for MK...

The offer is out...CSR here we come, or maybe not?!?

I can't get the DDP with the Poly booking as they only give it on your booking with the park tickets attached, so it was always just a cash booking. The issue is the standard rooms have sold out. I rang Disney and they confirmed, as per their website, only club level water view available for...

The offer is out...CSR here we come, or maybe not?!?

Hi, I booked part of my split stay yesterday, and also found myself struggling to find rooms I could afford at our second hotel, Polynesian. There's only club level available for some reason and I'm not paying over £800 a night for something we don't want. I am going to call today and see if I...

Waiting (in)patiently for 18th April! What are your Disney plans in 2025?

It was a distastrous morning for me. I joined the queue at 6.50am, then finally got onto the site, for glitches to constantly tell me I need to start holiday search again. After about 15 minutes I managed to get through to the payment part and after putting my card details in the page timed...

    Which moderate?

Out of your options I only stayed at CSR (twice), and I would definitely return. The rooms are big and very modern. We had a car so it didn't matter to us where we were situated, but we ended up just off one of the bridge ends, so getting to the pool and main hub was not a chore, we loved...

Universal/IOA/Volcano Bay 1 week tickets costs?

We only want to visit for two days (one day in each park) so there isn't any way I am paying for 14 day tickets. I'm going to purchase mine once I arrive in the US. We can be flexible with days and it's not US school holidays so shouldn't have a problem. I've checked out the US prices on this...

Waiting (in)patiently for 18th April! What are your Disney plans in 2025?

If you go through the booking process now on the official site and buy the DDP the difference for children is £5. The QS per child is £19.99 and DDP (with 1 TS and 1 QS) is £24.99. Adult is £30 per night more. Who knows what it will be on Thursday though 🤔

Did you get value out of the refillable mug that's included with the dining plan?

There are a few places around the parks now where you can refill your bottle/mug with water at no cost. As for value, I suppose it depends how long you stay for. Coming from the UK we visit for 2 weeks or more each time, so we definitely get our money's worth. We love to visit other resorts...

    180 days?

It's been 60 days for a number of years now, not sure why it changed (I'm sure Disney have their reasons, which may be on an old thread on here). However, we used to make ours at 180 days but then once the park hours were released we had to change them anyway, so maybe they are in line with the...
