Disneyland Forward and Taxes at VDH

Ah so, they are only referring to what’s already been done. The wording was a bit confusing by saying reclassifying/future tense. Ty!

Disneyland Forward and Taxes at VDH

I’ve only read snippets about DisneylandForward this am but this sentence stood out on one well known dis site: Disney would also move the new Disney Vacation Club rooms into more normal tax operations akin to non-time share lodging in the area to further boost tax revenue for Anaheim. Does...

Need insights on DVC Point accumulation for an Annual Aulani Grand Villa Vacation

The cabins sadly are a far cry from a GV and the way they are set up, it’s more like a family room. I was disappointed on the way the space is laid out in the cabin. Would never take two families like we do with 2 bedrooms

DVC Club Level and Home Resort Survey

As current owners, our “backlash” doesnt mean much. So, we get real mad and sell, Disney buys the contract and beefs the trust or we sell on a diminished resale market. The money is spent, We’re captive and they know it. It’s not unlike C33. You dont like a change? Doesn’t matter. They’ll...

DIS DVC 1000 Point Club (New)

Cool, TY for keeping it current. We have 1540. VGF 500, VGC 240, AUL 600, HHI 200. Can‘t wait to pay dues next month!

Did you also get a survey from DVC earlier this week?

I received a survey from DVC this week and it was fairly benign until it starting asking questions about booking availability and home resort windows/access. Did everyone receive this? I figured I would find a thread here and perhaps I missed it but it definitely made it clear that they are...

Torn Between SSR (Resale) and VGF (Direct)

SSR will always be there and will never get too pricey. A perfect addition down the road which will likely be sooner than you imagine (trust). You won’t find a better deal on VGF direct and prob not much by resale in future. Grab the flagship property. You won’t regret it but you may very...

Club 33 pricing announced-open to Golden Oaks residents first

They do not ask for references. They know everything they want/need to know already in your Magic File and the internet. Disney like other companies such as target collect thousands of data points on each customer. They do not ask questions about wealth or otherwise and members appear to...

Club 33 pricing announced-open to Golden Oaks residents first

Initially, it is rumored, GO members/owners were offered a chance to get in line early to be vetted. I believe living there already includes many amenities that may overlap and of course just because you live there doesn’t mean you are the person they are looking for. It certainly...

Club 33 pricing announced-open to Golden Oaks residents first

It’s truly a mystery who they accept and why. It may actually help you. Many members have moved to Orlando or have purchased second homes there since joining which can put pressure on events, merch, and lounge wait times. They are looking for a mix of member home locations it has been...

    New member buying VGF direct

My 2¢, 150 is not considered an especially large contract. A 100 point contract doesn’t get much at VGF and 50 is next to useless so I don’t see a huge market for those and you’d be self limiting if you went to sell. If I were buying resale, I’d prefer one closing at 150 with points that I...

    Grand Cal Contract @ $324 a point gone in 2 days !

And my guess is that the owners are fine with it. I VERY nearly listed mine, just one signature shy. But, I would not have accepted any offer more than $5pp less. It was more of an okay, if we hit the high note, let’s do it but if we don’t, nothing lost. In the end, we’ll probably be very...

Club 33 pricing announced-open to Golden Oaks residents first

Yes, each club has its own snack and they change periodically. Some are amazing, some are more pedestrian, all are gratis. Soft drinks and bottled water is included. There is no obligation to purchase anything at all if one prefers to just cool down, warm up and/or relax.

Talk me off the ledge- to sell vgc and buy aul or no?

Yeah, I slept on it and we are gonna hold. Ultimately, I think the pool got me. A summer day at the pool while everyone is at the parks is pretty priceless and DCA is our favorite park of all time. And getting WDW SAP points won't save us money but it will be easier to sell them if we end up...

Talk me off the ledge- to sell vgc and buy aul or no?

It’s true. That does change the calculation to go with lower dues. I completely appreciate the luxury that it is to use more points. Makes the 7 month window a completely different proposition.

Talk me off the ledge- to sell vgc and buy aul or no?

You know, this really hit me. My husband wants to hold them and my kids love both but we’re definitely kind of quiet. They are 12 & 14. I’ve asked the fam which is their favorite resort between AUL, VGC, VGF and they had a really hard time answering with 2/4 saying VGC. As it stands now...
