Buy where you want to stay...

Thanks for the input. We are flexible with time but normally travel Feb-May (did Easter last year, no more of that). DD is still in school so for now will work around that. Summer could be an option if we can't take her out of school. We don't "need" to stay anywhere, anytime...we're not too...

Buy where you want to stay...

I hear this over and over....the Buying DVC show says it all the time. Is it really that difficult to find a studio (or any style of room) for a week at 7 mos outside Saratoga and OKW? It sounds like its getting harder to book outside your home resort and we're afraid it's only going to get...

What do you do if you have a bad cold the day you leave?

I have 2 recommendations if you have a head cold or stuffiness. Saline nasal spray. You can use often (unlike OTC meds) and it clears and protects your nose. If flying buy earplanes. These are ear plugs for flying. On a non-Disney trip my DH had a head cold. 2 days after our arrival we were in...

Luggage Size For 9 Year Olds

We got my now 12 yr old a carry-on size hard cover a few years ago from TJ Max. Pretty cheap since we weren’t looking for a set. A weeks worth of clothes still fit but will get tight as she approaches the teen years. Don’t think I’d go too high end because you only need it to last 4-5 yrs before...

    How convenient is the Poly?

If MK is going to be the main park, absolutely do Poly. It’s sooo easy. And even Epcot is great with the monorail. While BC usually gets points for the pool we actually like Poly’s better.

    Going over Easter break 2019

We went at Easter this year and probably won’t do that again. Yes it’s managable with a plan to do the rides and places to eat. But what we found hard was just all the people when walking around. It was hard to get any where. Be patient and have a good plan.

Trattoria al Forno thoughts or reviews?

We ate there during Easter week and loved it. And that’s coming from my 100% Italian MIL. It was a tad loud though.

    Expedition Everest during ROL?

EE is fantastic at night. Add in ROL and it’s even better.

How Crowded is it the week after Easter? Thinking of going Thursday, April 25th, 2019

To answer your original question..it’s VERY crowded. We were there this past Easter...our 1st holiday trip. Probably will never do that again. However, it is doable and still fun but you must have a plan and be flexible. That said, there’s a good chance that a lot of the country will have their...

Beach Club vs. Yacht Club (Yes, yet again)

Just stayed at BC. If you want quiet and relaxed, I’d head to YC. It seemed so serene compared to what was going on in BC lobby. We liked it and it was fun but not relaxing. Forgot that YC allows dogs as we didn’t see any.

    FOP fast pass line

Over Easter week we had 2 FP-1 early evening and 1 late morning. We got through both in under 1/2 hr.

Tutto Italia or Chefs de France???

Never been to Chefs but just ate at Tuttos a few days ago. It was very good but it’s the style of Italian we prefer.

Wow - looks packed at MK today! (ride wait times) - April 2nd

Yahoo! Bad weather in NE causing us one more day in Disney!! What’s another $800 in the big picture!! Good thing BC had a room for us. No FP but we’ll deal with it.

Wow - looks packed at MK today! (ride wait times) - April 2nd

Here now since last Wednesday. Very very very crowded. Almost unbearable....almost. However, Fast passes have been excellent with picking up a couple more as the day goes on. Just need to be constantly refreshing and it has paid off. Over Easter weekend MK had 14 attractions at 60 min and...

    Pizza Window at the Boardwalk

Pizza isn’t bad but very convenient if looking for a fast meal. Stayed at BWV and left Epcot one night and decided we needed food. Walked to the window and had a cheese pizza and back in our room within minutes. I wouldn’t seek it out but it works if the time is right.

    **Official March 2018 Thread**

For those that have been Christmas week and Easter week, how do the crowds compare? We will be there 3/28-4/4 and have never gone at Easter. I know there are always ways to deal with the crowds when it’s me, DH and DD (11) but I’m worried with my in laws. I’m just not convinced this is a good...

    Clear

We did the Clear 2 month free trial. Got it as part of a Universal package last November. We did it only to help at MCO for our trip home. It was awesome. Had a special line that took us right to the front of security. We decided not to re-new after the free trial for 2 reasons. 1) home airport...

    Touring in the rain!

All great tips from others. But if you just need to get out of the rain go to the Seas. One very rainy Epcot day we hung out there riding Nemo and enjoying the aquarium and all the little things to see. Then we hung out in the Lands, but that was pretty crowded. Headed to WS and did some country...

DW in July - too crazy an idea?

Absolutely do not drop your plans. If July is the only time you can go then you go! Whether it's heat or crowds, there are ways to work around them but setting expectations is key. Your instinct, usually because of cost, will be to do it "all" and stay at the parks all day. But you will know...
