Non Americans - Requirement To Show Passport When Purchasing Alcohol

I tried to show them a note that said "Hi, this is my mom, I am old enough to drink. Thanks, my mom." That didn't work.

Assume sarcasm. I stand in boozy solidarity with the Trader Sam's line.

Disney Legend Marty Sklar has passed away

Ugh. this feels so sudden after getting to see the footage of him at D23. Between this and the news of June Foray passing... wow, this has been a crap week.

Could a Disney Community "Leader" ever become a Disney Legend?

How dare you. That two-part Full House Disney World episode is a Classic, and stands the test of time as a documentary for what every trip to Disney World in the early 90's was like. Anyways, I don't see it happening. For as much as Pete has contributed to the Disney fandom online, he's also...

    Unplugged Chit Chat Thread

Hehe, thank you very much Heidi! Things have been busy since I got back from my trip in June, and haven't gotten to check these boards as often, but it made me smile to see this. Thanks!

    Celebrities in the World?

Hah, that's nothing. One time I was eating at the Tusker House in Animal Kingdom, minding my own business, and out of nowhere, Mickey Mouse shows up and shakes my hand and gives me a hug, and wanted to take a picture with me! I bet everyone else in the restaurant was so jealous!

In your opinion what is the most overrated thing in WDW?

I honestly never considered the Boardwalk until I visited there during the 20th anniversary. Now I want to see what the the rooms look like and the short walk to Epcot (assuming it's not 100 degrees out) seems like it would be a great thing. So yeah... It's now on my to-do list.

In your opinion what is the most overrated thing in WDW?

I feel like I need to jump in and defend the honor of m'lady Jungle Cruise - you do still get some skippers that go off script and have some jokes you haven't heard a million times. I wake up at night worrying what the Rock and the Imagineers might do to the ride with the new movie coming out -...

Revenge of the Mummy - Universal Hall of Fame

It definitely belongs in the hall of fame! It's one of the rides at Universal that I want to ride multiple times in a trip - Much more excited to revisit that attraction than I am Gringott's. I guess Gringott's is what a more 'modern' version of that ride would look like? No thanks, I'll stick...

    DuckTales Characters

That Disney Afternoon show in Mickey's Starland was running during my first trip as a kid, I remember it fondly! Scrooge McDuck was also part of the castle show at the time, even though I don't remember many details about it outside of that. Also, holy crap is that a stuffed Mr. Toad next to...

The Disneyland Team loves Walt Disney World

    1. Animal Kingdom. The whole park is unique to Orlando, there's really nothing there that is copied at Disneyland and DCA. 2. Splash Mountain and Tower of Terror. Even before the Guardians re-do, I feel like Orlando had the better versions of these two rides. Some might disagree with Splash...

***Official*** Pandora: The World of Avatar Information Thread

My only experience with rope drop was also on a Saturday morning with an EMH, so I think that helped. I arrived about 30 minutes before the EMH started (unintentionally slept in, meant to get there sooner) and they were starting to let people into the park. A whole herd of us on that bridge to...

I raised my hand three times when they asked for a party of one - two times I got seat 8, one time I got seat 16. I think it all depends on how the larger parties fall in the order. I did definitely notice some slight distortion when in seat 16, but it wasn't as bad as Old Soarin' was. Just...

Best and Worst QS at Magic Kingdom

Both times I've eaten at QS Be Our Guest I got the Pork dish and loved it - but yeah, I don't feel like it's QS since they take ADRs, and it's a bit more expensive. The pre-ordering worked great though - I arrived for my meal, got my drink and silverware, and food was delivered about five...

    A Loveletter to Old Podcasts

About 20 hours before I head to the airport to return to the World, thought I would post this little thank you note for keeping the old podcasts online. I took Pete's advice he gave a couple of months ago about going back and checking out some of the older podcasts. Long commutes to work (yay...

    Pop Century Room Renovations

36 hours until I arrive - I have a request in for a renovated room. We'll see what happens! I'm already planning on getting a cheapo coffee maker and grounds off Prime Now if I'm not blessed with a renovated room, but if I get one of the new rooms, I'll take the time and post a bunch of pictures...

    Was ROL cancelled tonight? (5/29/17)

Interesting. I'm doing the dining package for ROL on one of my AK days. If the show gets cancelled, do we end up getting some sort of multi-use fastpass too?

did EMH start at 7am? When did it start getting crowded at the gates? I was planning on taking an uber over around 6am for a 7am EMH, would that put me too far back?
