1 day park hopper plus water park question

Hi All heading down which was just to do MNSSHP and now thinking maybe a park day we’ve never happed .
The one day plus .. can the water park be used the day before or after our park day ? Basically two days of activities ?

I thought waterpark/hopper added one extra day to ticket but it looks like 1 day ticket does not do that.

1-Day Tickets with Park Hopper Plus Option
Your tickets are valid for admission to multiple theme parks on any one day from May 19, 2024 through May 19, 2024. Your ticket also provides one visit to a water park or other Walt Disney World fun during the same date range. Tickets are nonrefundable. After expiration date, the price paid for a wholly unused ticket can be applied to the purchase of a new ticket with an equal or higher price.

I guess it’s only the 2 day tickets or higher that add an extra day with waterpark/hopper.

Here’s the 2 day ticket giving 4 days to use:

Valid Ticket Dates

The ticket "starts" with the designated start date and is valid through the next day -- so you do have 2 days to use the theme park entry (1) and waterpark or plus option (1). Which order you use them in, or use them both on the same date, is entirely up to you.

1-Day Ticket with Park Hopper Plus Option
Valid any 1 day from Sat, Jun 1, 2024 – Sun, Jun 2, 2024.

There a bit of a glitch in the online ticket purchase... it doesn't add the extra day until you scroll all the way down to the checkout:

Ok that’s good! It’s only showing one day valid in the screens before that.

Yes, but my understanding from those who have purchased is the actual expiration dates comes out with the extended day -- the date shown below your screenshot. It's true on all length of tickets.
