10 Trips in 27 Months! WOO! HOO! COMPLETED 10/2018

REAL LIFE UPDATE!!!!

So, Julie, Todd, and Gia came up for vacation this week, and while my sister and Todd enjoyed some alone time in Chicago, we got Gia all to ourselves for 4 days. It was so much fun spending all that time with her, but it sure was exhausting chasing after a 2-year-old...It's much easier at Disney with all the fun and distractions...That being said, I'm even more excited to have her all to myself (and Joe) for 4 days in Disney this October...

OCTOBER DISNEY UPDATE, YES ANOTHER...:rainbow:

I just booked an evening carriage ride out of PORS our first night. I thought this would be a great way to end our first Disney day.

Joe and I have done this several times, but it will be a first for Gia...:yay:

So, Timmy got to go to Disney University today to shop for exclusive Toy Story merch. And he got me an adorable Alien tee. The front of it has the Aliens saying "Ooooooooh", the sleeve says Cast Member and the back says Toy Story Land. The pics are courtesy of Timmy. He was also able to buy a Toy Story landyard and pin for himself.

I really love all the special things Timmy got to experience being in the college program. He graduates on the 24th. There, he will receive his graduation ears and get pics with Mickey and Minnie in their grad gowns. He's really excited about that.

August 1st, Joe, and Ash fly down to spend a day at the parks with him, help him move out and spend a few days in St Pete before flying home. I know Timm is happy to be coming home to see his family, but I know he is going to miss Disney very much. All of his supervisors asked him to extend, but he wants to finish college and then go back again before life in the real world has to start...

Oh my gosh LOVE the shirt! Have loved reading about Tim's experiences there and sure hoping my daughter gets to do the same thing in a few years.

She is just too cute!!! How awesome that you will have the 1:1 time with her in Disney too!

So nice!

What a great experience for him. I am sure it will be something he looks back on fondly his whole life. :)

As I left off, we were all meeting at Tony's. The ONLY reason I booked this restaurant is that Gia LOVES Lady and the Tramp. She carries her stuffed lady with her EVERYWHERE. I've read a ton of negative reviews, so this was the one meal I was least looking forward to. Again, epic fail on my part. I didn't take one picture of our food...
When we arrived, I gave the hostess our name and a few minutes later we were being escorted to our table.
We all ordered appetizers and I believe I had a flatbread pizza. I will say this...NOT ONE PERSON WAS UNHAPPY WITH THEIR MEALS. IN FACT, WE ALL LOVED THEM!!!!!!!!!! I would return in a heartbeat.
Timmy was also able to pop in for a minute to say hi, which again, was very cool.

After dinner, we rode a few more rides, including the teacups for some (NOT ME), and then headed to the HEA Dessert Party. This was my second time attending and again LOVED it. In fact, I love it soooo mmuch, that I booked it for the third time in October during MNSSHP.

AUGUST UPDATE (To Bring Timmy Home)::love:

So, Joe and Ash fly down to get Timmy on August 1 (25 days away). They are staying at a Hilton off site (BOO). Upon an early morning landing, they will head to Timmy's complex, pick him up and go to AK. The 3 of them are hoping to ride EE, the Safari, FOP and the Navi River ride...They don't care how long they have to wait in line because tix are free compliments of Tim and the Disney College Program...8-) They may hop to another park in the evening...But, that's the plan as of now.

August 2nd, they will move Timmy out before 11 am. Then, thanks to me :P I booked them lunch at Homecomin', a fav of Ash and Joes. They will also do some shopping in DS, because I have requested soap from Basin. My stockpile is looooooow... Damn, I love that store!!!!!!! After all that, they will start the drive to St Pete where they will spend the next 3 days. I know they are also buying Rays/White Sox tix for Friday night.

Your charcuterie board from CG looks really good!
This is a Mickey Mouse on the sidewalk heading between the Contemporary Resort and the Magic Kingdom.
That's so cute, I've never walked that path so had no idea this was there :goodvibes

He was one of the college students selected for an early preview of Toy Story Land this past Saturday. He wasn't able to take any pictures, but he was able to ride the Slinky Roller Coaster and the Alien Saucer Spin. He liked them both but felt they were targeted with little kids in mind. He was also able to enjoy some shopping in the new area, where he bought the cutest sweatshirt...Soooooooooo jealous!
Awesome! My agency owner was down there around that time too so we got some early first-hand reports. She liked SDD for what it's supposed to be.

Aw how sweet! I can't wait to see those pictures of him with Mickey and Minnie in grad gowns! I think it's so special that he got to be part of this and it's wonderful that his supervisors wanted him to extend. I'm sure he was happy about that but of course I'm also sure they respected his decisions to go back to school.

Good, and interesting, to hear! I have read a couple non-negative reviews lately, and honestly other than BOG which we normally enjoy for dinner, none of the other MK TS thrill us. Well we like the Plaza but that's it. So if the good reports are coming out maybe we'll try it again...............

I believe he "graduates" on July 24th. So, as soon as I have pics, you all will have pics.:smooth:

Love The Plaza! Don't you all like Skipper Canteens too??? Joe and I have dined there twice now and really like it...I was very impressed with Tonys. My sister was too and she was dreading it more than me.:P

REAL LIFE UPDATE:

Joe and I celebrated our 11 year wedding Anniversary on Saturday. :cool1:Our actual anniversary is July 5th. But, since we had to work that day, we celebrated yesterday. We went to a place in Plainfield, Il called Sovereign. It's a farm to table restaurant. They don't own a freezer or microwave so everything is made fresh and fresh to order. We sat outside because it was an absolutely beautiful day.

We ordered drinks right away. I had the Grandpa's Sangria and this knocked me on my butt, extremely strong, but exceptionally good. Joe had the Clark Gable, Sovereign's version of an Old Fashion. He loved this as well. For an appetizer, we shared the charcuterie board. Joe also ordered a second drink at this point, the These Violent Delights Have Violent Ends. This knocked Joe on his butt. :woohoo:

Joe had the Seared Tuna as his entree and I had the Lobster Roll. Both of these were fabulous! My lobster roll had no mayo, but instead contained a lemon aioli which kept it extremely light.

And, guess what???? I took pics!!!!!!! See below...
