Best days for Universal / IoA

We're going to Orlando in late April (well after Easter) to mid-May for 3 weeks. We have planned to go to Universal Studios proper on Wednesday and to Islands of Adventure on Thursday. It will be nice if the crowds and queues are not big. Are these OK days for each park?

I have found that Universal/IOA is never that crowded off season. Wed & Thurs. should be fine. You will love it!! It's a good compliment to a Disney vacation.

Thank you very much. Most guides mention that some days of the week are less crowded than others for certain parks. I thought I recalled a 'Busy day Guide' for 2004 which mentioned that Wednesdays were better for Universal Studios proper and Thursdays for IoA. Apparently, doing it the other way around can be a problem.
