Best recreation resorts

We travel to disney 2+ times a year. Since we have gone since our 3 teenagers were babies we have changed our days a lot. We find ourselves spending a lot more time at the resorts. Our teens love the pools and all recreation opportunities. This is what we like about the recreation options (free) at each resort. Please share your option and also experiences at resorts we have not tired yet.

AKV (Kidani) - Pool is fun, courts are a little for far away, ping pong, OK community hall.

OKW - Love recreation options, shuffle board, ping ping, tennis, basketball, pool (although too crowded), community hall, bags, close to golf.

BRV - Good pool and that's about it. Very lacking in our opinion - love the resort just not with out teens

SSR - Much like OKW - Great options plus golf on site - huge plus

BWV - Best community hall, pool table (+), ping pong, bags, pool is small and very crowded, tennis

BCV - Best pool, pool table - that's it.


Overall our teens would pick beach club for its pool and OKW for it other options.

AUL - Best pool and water slides (including BCV), the Ocean beach, tablet scavenger hunt, swimming with the fish in their Ocean Reef ($), paddleboard/sailboat rentals ($).

THV - You can often have the quiet THV pool to yourselves.

We love to rent bikes at BRV! Riding to FW is fun, and if you are in the fall, riding around the campgrounds gives wonderful opportunity to see how the campers decorate for Halloween and Christmas! Even during the day, lights are lit and blow ups are blown!

Renting the small boats kept our sons happy!

BLT - Pool, outdoor pool tables, rental boats of all kinds, (?) the thing where you throw sandbags in little holes
OKW-Kidani - in addition to previous postings, the Smores/Roast Marshmallow pit at night. (probably at other resorts too)
Kidani/Jambo - Nighttime viewing of animals.

My kids are teens now. We started going to Disney when the youngest was just crawling. We've stayed at most of the resorts, they are all amazing. But in the end after experiencing many, we like SSR, its our home resort and our favorite bc of the pools, the community hall, the tennis courts, the counter service AND the proximity to Disney Springs. And my kids can go where ever they like and they usually spend some time at the arcade at Disney Springs.

I know AKV (Kidani), BLT, BWV, & BCV all have tennis courts as well.
