Booking a GTY through 3rd Party

Trying to get the DGF hooked, so booked a quick 3 day in March.

Does Disney give "better" upgrades to those who book direct on GTY rates? Does DCL status affect it? Got excellent cashback through a portal by booking on Priceline. I assume it has no effect, just curious.

There's no rhyme or reason to the GTY assignments.

One question - are you asking about the "regular" GTY reservations (with an actual category, like 9B GTY) or the last minute reduced fare *GT reservations (you only select Interior, Oceanview, or Verandah)?
