We have decided to sail next March on this ship. Does anyone have any experience with it!?

Thanks!

We sailed on her once or twice. IIRC, it was an Alaska cruise out of Seattle a couple of years ago. The ship was fine. Where/when are you sailing?

Wonderful! Hope you enjoy. Please post a mini-review when you return. We live in FL and sail Royal regularly (RCL Diamond) when we get the opportunity.

We sailed on her last July on a Baltics cruise. Very nice ship. I love the radiance class ships. We sailed on Serenade in September.

We sailed on the Brilliance in April Last year. A family of 4 (2 adults and 2 sons, 16 and 10). We did a 5 night with stops in Key West and Cozumel. This was our first Royal cruise (we had only done one Disney cruise prior to this). We really enjoyed the ship. We did have some concerns going into it because we know this was a smaller, older (was recently refurbed) ship and heard that is wasn't usually a family friendly ship. Likely the family concern was solved by it being Spring Break and the size issue wasn't one. We didn't find the stage shows to be to the level of Disney, but other than that we had little complaints over the ship. We enjoyed the Schooner bar area a lot and really liked the evening entertainment with the musician on the piano. We found the casino cramped, but something tells me this isn't exclusive to the Brilliance, although it was our only experience. We really enjoyed being able to access the helipad on deck 5 and despite navigating others trying to recreate the scene from Titanic, really enjoyed spending the evenings here. The solarium was spectacular (16 and up area). We had great weather but it also being under glass is a bonus for poor weather days. Mini golf was a really nice course and my youngest really enjoyed it. One complaint that I did have was late night snacking. After the buffet closed there was only one place to get snacks and that was a grab and go counter in the solarium. The food was ok (pizza, sandwiches, assorted sweets, and nachos) but there were only 2 people staffing this in a small area. It was a mad house with teens around midnight and drunken adults around 1 am. The one family pool wasn't much of an issue for as we only go to the pools before lunch and on port days which help manage the crowds. Speaking about the buffet, the outdoor seating in the back of the ship was awesome. It was almost always available, had incredible views and was close to the beverage machines. Overall, we all felt that this ship was spectacular and wonder why we spent so much money to go on a Disney cruise the first time. (Trust me, we still liked Disney better but not double, like the costs would dictate.) Hope you enjoy your trip.

I was on Brilliance several years ago for a 12-night Med cruise and LOVED her. I'm a real fan of the Radiance Class ships - it still feels like a ship and not a floating city block. (I've done all the Radiance Class ships except Serenade.) The shows are hit or miss - I've learned on non-Disney ships to sit on an aisle and towards the back so I can escape quickly if necessary. But on Brilliance anyway, I had a fabulous stateroom host - her name is Yara...we had a lot of chats in the hallway, and I know she said she would love to move to Disney but she had so much seniority at RCCL...I encouraged her to at least talk with Disney and see what level she'd be able to go in at, but I don't know...if she's on Brilliance and you have her, you're in for a treat!! And my servers (sadly i have forgotten their names) were amazing - as were all of them in the general area of My Time Dining. They all spoiled me rotten. LOL.
