Cadillac Hotel--Venice Beach

I was wonering if anyone out there had stayed at the Cadillac Hotel along Ocean Walk in Venice Beach. It's location is great, but from reading some reviews online, it sounds somewhat run-down and poorly maintained.


Are these reviews harsh, or in fact reflective of what th eplace is all about?
