Canadian Buffoon's Exhausted Vacation - Update 09/01 - New TR link!

Then why do the Rebel
blasters always work?
But do they?
I've only ever seen Han successfully pop someone with a blaster shot at point blank range.
As for Luke doing it, the force would be effecting and possibly guiding the shots even before he realized it controlled him.

Nah.
This is back in the day.
Remember how the Flintstones

song ends??
I think that line has been censored in my home state.
They force the networks to end the credits in mid theme and just add another commercial touting the benefits of the state run lottery.

('cause some "vices" are more equal then others. )

That's just it.
Have you ever seen one?
No, of course not.

They excel at hiding.
The negative that proves the positive, ehh.
You'd make either an excellent politician or a fabulous conspiracy theorist.

Uh... you didn't drill them out,
did you???
Naaa...
I used a blaster.

At point blank range, of course...
and I was wearing a spacesuit at the time.

I see what you did there. Clever.
Thanks! I always wait until
I'm mostly done before picking
a chapter title.
And some are tougher than others.
I was pretty pleased with myself

when that one came to mind. :)
That's karking early! (I figured I would google some Star Wars expletives)
No wonder you called this your exhausted trip.
"karking" A term derived by noted
linguist, Prof. Falls.

And yes... it was early.
So you get the express transportation pass and a secret preview of the new star Wars hotel? Nice! :p
Actually, I'd love to try the
Star Wars hotel when it opens.
I'm not a huge SW fan, but...

I think it'd be fun.
I'm not a fan of the selfie sticks, so I'm glad they banned them. There's the obvious safety issues, plus who wants a sea of sticks in the air while watching fireworks/shows, or even on rides.
Yeah. My main complaint.
Put the stupid thing down!
No one's going to see your

fireworks video... ever!
Is this the scruffy looking nerf herders chess club? (I know, don't call you scruffy)
Oh, no. Scruffy is very appropriate.
Nice job with the picture though.
Thanks! :)
Of course I have not been on the ride yet, but this seems to be a common complaint. Pushing the buttons may seem like fun, but it distracts from the enjoyment of the actual ride.
If I get stuck with Engineer again...
I'll either hand the card back and
say "Nevermind, I'll skip it, then."

or I'll just ignore the buttons altogether.
Already seeing twin suns? Maybe you got into a Fuzzy Tauntan at Oga's sooner than we thought.
:rolleyes1
Thanks for sharing the story. It's an impressive photo.
Thanks again! :goodvibes

But do they?
I've only ever seen Han successfully pop someone with a blaster shot at point blank range.
I could've sworn I've seen
Stormtroopers go down from
blasters... but...
As for Luke doing it, the force would be effecting and possibly guiding the shots even before he realized it controlled him.
Hmmm... Yeah, that's likely.
Okay. Jedi or point blank only.

I think that line has been censored in my home state.
They force the networks to end the credits in mid theme and just add another commercial touting the benefits of the state run lottery.

('cause some "vices" are more equal then others. )
 You're kidding me!!
The negative that proves the positive, ehh.
Oh God, yes.
You'd make either an excellent politician or a fabulous conspiracy theorist.
So you think I'm not?

Goood. Good...
Naaa...
I used a blaster.

At point blank range, of course...
and I was wearing a spacesuit at the time.
Safety first!

Sheesh I go on a small Disney trip and I come back to a new TR on page 10!

I took a few minutes to pressure
seal the contents of my bag
that the First Order had kept
overly-long the previous evening,
strapped my blaster to my hip
(with a spare in the ankle webbing),
and was through the closing
iris of my room portal just before 5am.

Is there a translator to go along with this chapter?! #iveneverseenstarwars

Before I even had the app started,
a shuttle landed at my stop.
Always nice when you don't have
to wait. They advertise a shuttle
every 20 minutes, but zero is better.

Even on this foreign planet in this foreign language, they know of your VIP transportation status!

Tell me if it's unreasonable
of them to confiscate selfie-sticks.
Or do you agree with the First
Order upholding this rule?

I agree with it. People are annoying enough as it is lol can you imagine trying to watch the fireworks with selfie sticks all over !

It was not a pleasant feeling and
I wondered what might happen
should someone stumble and fall.

I'll spoil a story in my future trip report by saying we RD FOP during EEMH on our most recent trip. The lady next to me lost her shoe somehow so her friend stopped with her to get it. We're walking to the ride and the friend comes up and FULL ON PUSHES ME and says "UM this is where I was standing" and launched into a rant about how she needs to get on the ride first. I'm all for getting on the ride but some people get ugly quick!

But the next time I fly this
bird, I want to be either a
gunner or a pilot.
I was too far back and too
distracted to really enjoy the
ride... If one can say they
"enjoyed" a smuggler's run.

Agreed. We were engineers the first time we rode and I was glad to get an idea of what to expect but it was definitely much more fun as a pilot.

I sent in my contest answers! My pesky vacation made me miss the first round but I still wanna play!

Sheesh I go on a small Disney trip and I come back to a new TR on page 10!
So you're saying you shouldn't
have gone to Disney.
Of course you are.
Is there a translator to go along with this chapter?! #iveneverseenstarwars
Don't worry. You don't really
need one.
Half the words are accurate...

half... not so much.
Even on this foreign planet in this foreign language, they know of your VIP transportation status!
Ya got that right!
I agree with it. People are annoying enough as it is lol can you imagine trying to watch the fireworks with selfie sticks all over !
Yeah. There's no way I wanna
be there if that's happening.

 Holy smokes!
That's crazy!
How entitled did they
think they were?

Oh... wait...
Did they pay a lot of

money to be there?

:rolleyes1

Next time! :)
I sent in my contest answers!
Got 'em!
My pesky vacation made me miss the first round but I still wanna play!
Glad you are!
And you have just as good
a chance at winning as those

who were in on the first round. :)

Actually, I'd love to try the
Star Wars hotel when it opens.
I'm not a huge SW fan, but...

I think it'd be fun.
I think it would be fun to try.
But I know the price point is going to be well above my threshold.
I also know that I wouldn't get any of the ladies in my family to agree to stay there. So unless I go solo sometime, I will have to live vicariously through YouTube and trip reports.

Is it supposed to be
a new Deluxe?
I have no idea.

Oh, pshaw... that's easy.
"What the... they upgraded us to the new Star Wars hotel! Huh!"
"What the... they accidentally mixed up our reservations!"
"What the... I must've booked the wrong thing!"

Soooo many options.

:rolleyes1

Is it supposed to be
a new Deluxe?
I have no idea.
From what I've been hearing, it will be Deluxe+
It's suspected that you won't be staying at a hotel as such, you will be paying for the experience of being part of a story. The whole experience/story will play out over 2-3 nights (so likely no 1 night stays and I don't know if there will be longer). You'll check in by being "transported into space", your room will not have a window but "portal" to the world you are on. You also choose if you want to be First Order or Resistance. Part of the story will involve being "transported" to Baatu. I've heard that once you check in, you don't experience anything outside the Star Wars universe.
Pricing is likely in the $1000/night range +++
But that could all be rumours and nonsense.
Maybe you just check into something that looks like a Holiday Inn and get a special Star Wars cake.
Who knows for sure. Until it opens.

Always good to know when
the cyanide rains are happening.

I like cake.

The pricing I was hearing was not $1000 per night per room -- but $1000 per night PER PERSON!!!

Basically -- it is more like an all-inclusive cruise as opposed to a hotel stay. There will specific arrival dates and departure dates, just like a 3 day cruise would be. It's going to be very small though -- something like around 100 rooms is what I've heard.

Whoa. Yeah, that's small...
and will be practically impossible
to get in, then.

Boys And Their Toys

Having successfully evaded
roving Stormtrooper patrols,
I found myself instead shrunk
to the size of a toy.

This, of course, presents itself
with certain opportunities.
When you're toy sized, you can
play with toys that are normally
far too small for you and even
get a date with a Barbie!

I mean... who needs more than that?

Okay, okay... you're never too big
or too old to play with toys.

hotwheels_zpselztzlp6.jpg

The toys just get more expensive.

car_zpsttr1tuh0.jpg

What was your favourite toy
when you were a kid?
I think mine was probably G.I. Joe.

Okay... now that I'm teeny-tiny, what
should I do first?
Many of you guessed that I'd eat,
having not eaten yet, but... I don't
often eat breakfast when I'm at Disney.

So a ride, it is!
There are two major rides in TSL,
SDD and TSMM.
So of course I rode neither.
Both rides were calling my name
but there was one ride which,
every time I've been to TSL,
has had prohibitive waits for it.
But this morning, before the park
was officially open to the non
Disney resort guests (aka: heathen),
it was a walk on.

So I took a spin on Alien Swirling Saucers.
(Or AS2, or Alien SS, or LGM, or whatever
acronym you use so you don't
spell "donkey" and offend... no one.)

DSC07970_zps3i1cfuzh.jpg

I felt so bad for the little girl being measured. She fell just short and cried and cried.

What can I say about AS2?
I walked onto it without a wait.
So that's a positive.
I had fun. Also a positive.
(Not a lot of fun, but I was
smiling, so it counts.)
Will I ride it again?

Nope. Probably not.

It's pretty dull, like I imagined
it would be. It might be more
fun if you had Barbie sitting
beside you and she got
squished up against you
on those turns, but...

One and done, for me.

There are other seats
for my butt that are more
exciting in this park.

DSC07974_zpspvkcquhr.jpg

I received a text from Kari
(@Malia78 ), checking in to
see if we were still on for
our DISmeet today.
I assured her we were.

(Why can I write assured
but not AS2's real acronym?
At least I as2ume I can?
Or did y'all just see stars?)

By 8:37am (yes, I checked...)
I got in line at SDD.

DSC08025_zpseyhxdpev.jpg

DSC07966b_zpsccrxxygh.jpg

While I waited, I texted Kari
a few more times, and by
8:57am (Yes. I checked the
time again. Stop asking!)
I was on the coaster
and zooming around Andy's
backyard.
Twenty-minute wait for SDD.
Not bad at all.

DSC07957_zpsoxaagldk.jpg

I must say, that kid has quite
the imagination.
Hmmm... now that he's gotten
a bit older, I wonder if he'll
become an Imagineer?

Nah. Probably not.

Okay! What's next???
I headed off in the direction
of TSMM.

And walked right on by.

I have played/ridden this solo
before and competed with
another Dad, but...
It's really not the same as
when you go up against
a friend/family member.
And I definitely didn't want
to be by myself.
I mean... if you can't do this:

ha%20ha_zpsjo2v3j3n.gif

What's the point?

I exited TSL and somehow...
Grew back to my normal size.
Actually, I think Disney added
a few pounds.
I'm sure that was it.
Not my general debauchery
or complete lack of exercise.

ahem.

As I passed One Man's Dream,
(I really should've popped in, actually)
I saw Kari heading in the opposite
direction.
We stopped and chatted for a bit,
but she had a date with some toys
and I was heading off for some
head-bangin' adventures.
We re-confirmed where and when
we'd be re-meeting and went
our temporary separate ways.

I got in line at RNRC at 9:27am
and was blasting through LA
by 9:45am. Zero to fifty-seven mph
in eighteen minutes.
The last 2.8 seconds of that being
a bit more... intense.
(Yes. 57mph. Google it.)

522179876_zps8nhh59b6.jpg

 That poor kid's expression!
Her mom seems blissfully unaware
of the therapy bills that are
coming her way.

Okay. Time for a DISmeet!
I had been in contact with
Kari quite a while earlier
and had suggested lunch.
She suggested we first stop
in at Oga's for a libation
and to check the place out.
Yeah! Absolutely!

Back in Batuu, I got in line
(after giving the CM at the
door the name on the ADR)
and waited for Kari who
was just finishing up
in TSL.

A roving Stormtrooper patrol
stopped in front of a woman
who was so intent on what was
on her phone that she didn't
even see them approach until...
"What are you doing with that data-pad?"
One Stormtrooper intoned.
The woman looked up in surprise.
The Stormtrooper pointed at her
and said. "You've just gone from
curious to suspicious."
And walked away.

:lmao:

Soon after, Kari arrived and
we were led to a table.

We got lucky.
Getting a table is not guaranteed.
Standing is.
We weren't alone at our table,
however, but the people there
seemed friendly enough.

I had to try the Fuzzy Tauntaun,
(Cîroc Peach Vodka, Bols Peach Schnapps,
and Simply Orange® topped with Tangerine,
Pure Cane Sugar, "Buzzz" Foam)

IMG_2806_zps0liqhkci.jpg

while Kari tried the Carbon Freeze.
(Powerade® Lemon Lime and Wild Strawberry
with Blueberry and Green Apple Popping Pearls)

IMG_2808_zpsopnzxtv2.jpg

We both liked our drinks, except the lip-numbing
foam on the Tauntaun was a bit disconcerting!
I've never had a drink that would give novocaine
a run for its money!
Multiple drinks? Maybe. But one?

After settling our bill, we walked over
to 50s Prime Time for our ADR.
On the way, a young lady (teen?)
walked by in the opposite direction.
I didn't want to say anything, but...
at first it looked like she wasn't wearing
any pants and I was wondering just
how strong that drink had been.

But then Kari remarked that she did
a double take.
Safety note... wearing flesh-coloured
tights may result in whiplash... in others.

Soon enough we arrived at our destination.

IMG_2809_zpsu3ucsus5.jpg

We had hardly settled in to wait
when we were called to dinner.
Of course we jumped up.
You do not dawdle when Mom
has dinner ready!

I took a shot of Beauty & the Beast,
since we were in Disney.

IMG_2810_zpsechrufme.jpg

Okay, okay.
Kari's not even close to being
a Beast.
She can be Beauty, too.

:rolleyes1

Our server was Uncle Gary.
And he was a hoot!
He asked us if we knew why
boys and girls were different?

"Um... no?"
(I can think of a couple things,
but this is a family board, you know.)

Gary told us that "Girls' food tastes
better off someone else's plate."

I guess he assumed we were a couple.
While I was extremely flattered,
I'm sure Kari was mortified.

I made it up to her though, by letting
her eat food off my plate.

We ordered some appies to get
us started.
I know Kari ordered a cheese dish,
but when I look at the menu,
it doesn't quite match up with what
I thought she received.
It might be the Fried Herb
and Garlic Cheese.
I ordered the onion rings,
because 50s' onion rings are among
the best I've ever had.

IMG_2811_zpseg1lbujk.jpg

Kari tried some of my rings
and I think she agreed with me.

Soon (actually a bit too soon
since we were still snacking on
the appetizers) our mains arrived.
Kari had the pot roast
(which she graciously allowed me
a small taste, since she had eaten
almost all my onion rings*) and
it was quite good!

*No. Kari didn't eat all the onion rings.
We shared and had a great time.

IMG_2812_zpspqp8wyhl.jpg

I (of course!) ordered Aunt Liz's
Fried Chicken, because it's amazing.
I let Kari have a bite and she agreed
it was good, too.

IMG_2813_zpsmc8qpv7x.jpg

I think we were both pleased
as punch with our respective choices.

After lunch, and a quick hug,
we parted ways.
I always like seeing Kari,
however briefly, she's just
one of those people that are
so likeable.

Totally opposite from me.

I'm not sure where Kari headed off to,
but I made a bee-line for my one and
only FP of the day.
You can only make one FP now at DHS.
Well... okay. You can make three... but
only one good one.

And what did I pick for my one and only FP?

DSC07976_zpsdwia0uxz.jpg

Except...

I'd always wanted to take more time
to photograph the interior of TOT.
But... you're either rushing through
in the FP line with no time for anything
but quick snaps as you move along...
Or... you wait in line and still can't really
take photos because that line moves
at a steady clip, too!

So what can a guy do?

You can skip the ride. That's what
you can do.

Continued Next Post

Continued From Previous Post

I waltzed in to the FP line and didn't
break stride until I was inside the hotel.

Once there, I set up my tripod and
for the next half hour or so, moved
back and forth from FP to Standby
line, framing the shots I wanted
while telling guests to go ahead
and pass by me.

You may be shaking your collective
heads at me for not riding what is
arguably one of the best rides
in Disney (depending on who's
doing the arguing.)
But I was quite happy to be doing
something that I'd wanted to do
since I first walked through that
hotel lobby about fifteen years ago.
And since I took the time to
shoot it, you're gonna look at em'!
Whether you want to or not!
(Unless you scroll... I can't stop that...)

DSC08011_zpsbbehkne8.jpg

Gawd, I love that theming...

And once I was done shooting?
I walked right back out the FP queue,
happy as a clam.

That was kinda the theme for this
whole trip.
I'd been fairly recently and felt
zero need to RIDE ALL THE RIDES!!!!
Indeed, I was quite happy to ride
none of the rides.
Of course I did ride here and there,
but... it wasn't the purpose of the trip.
Taking it all in, and doing new things, was.

Speaking of new things...
It was time to go spend silly amounts
of money on a souvenir that I normally
would have zero interest in.
I was off to build my very own droid.
And for the money they were asking
to do it, I could only assume that
this thing would fetch my slippers
and make me a Margarita too.
(FYI: It doesn't.)

I'm pretty sure if Disney announced
that they were going to introduce
a new experience, like...

"Coming in 2020... stick your hand
into a real Star Wars blast oven!
1st degree burns - $50
2nd degree burns - $100
3rd degree burns - $300
(With new and improved
permanent scarring!!!)
Feel the heat like a real Jedi!"

TAKE MY MONEY!!!!!

I arrived on time at the Droid Depot
(Why doesn't Home Depot have
a Droid section, anyways?)
And got instructions on what to do.

DSC08017_zpskrqkkma7.jpg

Basically, you decide what kind of
droid you want to build
(BB or R2 unit) and grab the
colours that appeal to you.

DSC08014_zpsobq6vjpz.jpg

Here's my droid parts,
ready for assembling.
(Front leg partially hidden)

IMG_2814b_zpscbmbyvx3.jpg

It's pretty simple, actually.
You get (for an R2 unit) five pieces.
A main body piece, head piece,
and three legs; two large ones, one wee one.
The legs are fixed, with no knee joints.
(So no large knees and no wee knee.)

The head and small leg snap on and you
use a powered screw-driver to attach
the two large legs.

IMG_2815_zps6fnkzcvo.jpg

Or you try to.
I attached the left leg,
but the right leg wouldn't screw
in all the way.
I called a CM and they got me
another right leg.
It wouldn't work either.
So she gave me a new body
and two new legs.
This time the left leg wouldn't work.
One more leg... success!

And of course, considering the $3,857,621
I spent wasn't enough, I forked over another
$4,649.99 for a chip that lets it beep more.
I'm all about that beep.

Once my Droid was assembled, the CM
placed it in a special activation slot
and I had the pleasure of pushing
a button that "awoke" my droid.
I was very excited. I mean... I'd just
pushed a button that cost me more
than the entire Apollo space program
put together. In today's dollars!
The R2 unit beeped... and that was that.

I walked out of the Droid Depot poorer,
but dumber. So there's that.

Working in the Droid factory is hard
work, though. So now it was time
for some fluid and electrolyte replacement!

I had a few things to knock off my
"Disney list", here at DHS.
The first was the Key Lime Pie on a Stick,
available at Neighborhood Bakery.
I mean... it's Key Lime Pie! On a stick!
What's not to love????

Don't let the blue colouring throw you.
If you look at it and your stomach turns...

IMG_2817_zpsbmphkxhi.jpg

Then trust your gut.

IMG_2819_zpsdv02frer.jpg

Doesn't look too bad, does it?
And the Key Lime part of it
wasn't bad at all.
But the whole thing is wrapped
in a thick glob of blue-tinted
white chocolate.
I don't mind white chocolate.
It's fine as a decorative feature
on a real chocolate treat.
But this thing was mostly
white chocolate with a bit of
Key Lime pie thrown in.
The white chocolate taste
was overwhelming.
I think it would've been okay
if they'd maybe not put it
in white chocolate... and maybe
thrown out the stick, too.
Which would make it... pie.

I didn't eat it all.
I didn't eat half of it.

Disillusioned, I set out to try
the next item on my list:
Hollywood Scoops' Apple Crisp
à la Mode.
(Cinnamon Apple topped with
Old-fashioned Vanilla Ice Cream,
Caramel Sauce and Streusel)

mmmmmm…. sounds amazing, right?
Except... I got a bowl of this mess:

IMG_2820_zpsxrfunquh.jpg

It was already half melted
when I got it and so cloyingly
sweet as to be practically inedible.
I tried to eat some of it,
but after just a couple of
spoonfuls… spoonsful...
Hang on...

Okay, either is right.

After a couple of spoonfuls,
I tossed the lot into a nearby
trash bin.
Gahh. I need something to drink.

I had just the thing on my list.

IMG_2822_zps9le6nzla.jpg

Anaheim Produce's Frozen Lemonade.
It was... just okay.
I'd had it last trip and loved it.
But... I think my taste buds were
so overwhelmed with white chocolate
and sickeningly sweet apple crisp...
That I really should have just ordered
a water, and even that might've tasted
sweet.

By this time, my energy stores were
starting to wane and I'd seen and done
everything I'd wanted to do at DHS.
I headed out to the bus stop and...
there wasn't a bus waiting for me.

What. In. The. Heck.

I stamped my foot in frustration
and snapped my fingers and one
appeared two minutes later.
Two minutes! Can you believe it?
I mean... really!
Disney's starting to slip.
I shouldn't be kept waiting like this!
Inexcusable. :snooty:

I got back to my resort at 4:00pm.

And considering I'd been up since
4:15am... and hadn't really slept...
well... for days...
You'd think that would be the end
of my day.

And you'd be wrong.

I did think that maybe a nice
relaxing bath might be the
thing to recharge my batteries...
So I did.
And it's probably a reflection
of just how tired I was,
that I passed out not once,
but twice, while in there.

After the second time, I figured
I could either stay there and drown,
or get up and get going.

It wasn't an easy decision.

Normally, I'd end the chapter there,
but the rest of the day is quick,
so I'll push through and force you
to come along on what has already
been a disconcertingly long chapter.

(Sorry!)

I got dressed and... since I had my
own clothes now, and didn't really
like the shirt I'd gotten at the gift shop,
I made the roughly minute walk and
returned it.
I walked out of the gift-shop and
without breaking stride, sashayed
out and into my waiting bus.
It was waiting with the door open
and no one in line.
I presume they were making up
for their earlier miscue with the
atrocious two-minute wait.

6:30pm and I'm on my way to Epcot
for some Food & Wine treats.

I arrived at Epcot sans-bag.
When you don't have a bag,
the usual long lines cease to exist.
I zipped through and was in the
park in no time.

As I walked past SE, a man with
wife/girlfriend in tow was having
a heated argument with someone
on his phone.
I noted him and thought that perhaps
Disney, for him, wasn't quite the
Most Magical Place it was
advertised to be.
(Note: It didn't sound like a Disney
related problem, however.)

Not long afterwards, I put him out
of my mind as I ordered a Blended Burger
from Flavors From Fire.

IMG_2825_zpsyioaiq26.jpg

This was excellent and
I would recommend it.
While I was munching,
Mr. Phone Argument
walked by, wife/girlfriend
still in tow... still arguing.
Hmm... not the Most Magical
nor the Happiest, either!

Life's too short.
I turned back to my rapidly
disappearing burger.

Okay... what's next?
How about...
Active Eat's Loaded Mac n Cheese.

IMG_2826_zpskc4jurco.jpg

Wow! A bit on the spicy side,
but not overly so... and very, very good!

I looked at my watch... oops!
It's been a while since I've been
on a ride.
Test Track? Soarin'?
Spaceship Earth!
Might be my last chance
to thank the Phoenicians.

I sat back and enjoyed the ride
without trying to snap photos
with my phone.
(Futile, so why bother.)
I thanked the Phoenicians,
said "Hi" to my Dad, ogled
the computer room lady...
the usual.

But... as for my future?

IMG_2833b_zps9gld0iiq.jpg

Flying solo sometimes reveals
things not before imagined.
Is it just me, or does it look
like I'll be having a space DISmeet
with @MeghanEmily in the future??

IMG_2838_zpsormq2kyh.jpg

Hmmm... space...
I zipped over to MS and
decided to try the new
green Earth orbit mission.
What the heck?
I got picked for Engineer... again????
What is it with me and Engineering today??

I entered the building at 8:00pm
and was out again by 8:20pm.
Not bad for a trip around the planet.
Except...
Okay... this is a pet peeve.
I'd never done this version before.
And... I was very bothered by the
use of the impossible trajectory.
The craft is supposed to orbit,
but it makes a 90 degree turn....
Sorry. Ballistics says that's not
possible.
Not at that speed.
Not unless you've got an
inertialess drive system... and that's
not even theoretically possible.

I'm not sure why they couldn't just
do a normal orbit.
I'm disappointed, Disney.

A trip both backwards and
forward in time, and to Earth
orbit, gives you an appetite.
I'd better get on that.

First stop... the surprise of the night.
Coastal Eats' Shrimp Scampi.

IMG_2839_zpsavydpl7q.jpg

It may not look like much,
but this dip was packed with
flavour and nice chunks of
shrimp and scallops.
Deeelish!

I followed that up with
Earth Eats' Impossible Burger.
Not as good as the Blended Burger,
but not bad for a vegetarian offering.

IMG_2840_zpswcu0cl0o.jpg

Okay... I'm finally ready to
call it a day.
I headed out and paused
only long enough to take a
quick snap of one of my favourite
Epcot nighttime sights...

IMG_2841b_zpsxthuogf4.jpg

I got to the bus stop for ASMu
at 8:50pm and a bus pulled up
as I arrived.
They were probably just waiting
for me to show up.
I approved.
Disney was either trying
to atone for their earlier
oversight or were sucking up.

Hmmm... I guess that's the
same thing.

I got back to the hotel and
scooted over to my room
and grabbed my refillable mug.
I timed the journey from the
moment I exited my door
until the time I was filling
the mug. I did not walk quickly.
At a leisurely pace, from
door to pour...

Sixty-two seconds.

There is value in putting
in a room request.

It was only a little after 9:00pm...
And when I returned to my
room, I just barely made it
to my bed before falling asleep.

It was the end to a verrrry looong day.

What can I say about AS2?
I walked onto it without a wait.
So that's a positive.
I had fun. Also a positive.
I agree, that's about all you can say about this

Actually, I think Disney added
a few pounds.
I believe this is included in the price!

That poor kid's expression!
Her mom seems blissfully unaware
of the therapy bills that are
coming her way.
:rotfl2: And Mom looks pretty bored

But this thing was mostly
white chocolate with a bit of
Key Lime pie thrown in.
Yuck, that's disappointing

Yeah. Pretty dull.
Still... Glad I can at least
put it in the "done" column.
I believe this is included in the price!
Oh, no.
It's extra.
Those Dole Whips, Tonga Toast,
cinnamon buns, etc. don't pay

for themselves you know!
:rotfl2: And Mom looks pretty bored
"Ya might wanna check
on your kid... just sayin'."

Yuck, that's disappointing
It was pretty gross.
I can eat white chocolate...
But not much before I OD.

So I will come back and comment on your update later but I was out shopping today and saw that The Art of Racing in the Rain DVD is out now so I wanted to let you know before I forgot.
