DH and I will be in Vegas in May, it will be our second trip after a short trip there last year that involved a business meeting. We will be staying at the Mirage again, thanks to great comps. Last year we wanted to see Love, but the show was dark for the whole week we were there. We ended up seeing Jersey Boys, and Terry Fator.
This trip our best friends are coming to Vegas too, will fly in the day after we get there. They will be staying at the Venetian because they get a comp stay there. At least they are right across the street. We all want to see a Cirque show while there, and want to go to one that is within walking distance.

TI has Mystere, and the Mirage has Love. If you had to choose between the two which one would you choose?
We also would love for our friends to see Jersey Boys, I think they would love it and we wouldn't mind seeing it again. It has moved to the Paris Casino since we saw it, and the prices have gone up. any ways to get a discount on tickets? I know about Tickets4tonite, but worry about with buying day of tickets, not getting good seats. Any other ways to get a discount?

Also, one day the guys are going riding bikes in the desert, can my friend and I spend the day at the Mirage pool if she uses my DH's room key?
I remember last year they checked room keys to get into the pool area, but not if they scanned them or not. Would it be really wrong since no one extra is getting into the pool, just switching out?
Thanks!

we had comp tickets to LOVE and in all honesty if we hadn't had them we were not all that bothered about seeing it. Well that would have been a HUGE mistake. We thought it was absolutely fantastic. Would have no hesitation in recommending it to everybody, even non Beatles fans...We had the best tickets but I don't think you would have a bad view anywhere in the theatre. My DH's father was mentioned in the show and this is the only reason why we went, but it really was fabulous...:thumbsup2 I have watched most of the other cirque shows on DVD and although they are good the LOVE show is just different..:)

Thanks for the imput, how is it a different show, I assume it has the acrobatics of the other shows? We are all in our mid fifties so grew up with Beatles music.

Oh, if you grew up with the Beatles, you will LOVE "LOVE"!!! I've seen it 3 times and I've been thinking I'd like to go again. Even my Dad, who is not a particular Beatles fan, loves this show and has talked about taking some of his friends to see it when they're out in Vegas later this year. Check the Mirage website, as they sometimes offer discounts on LOVE tickets.

The show is a little less acrobatic oriented than the other Cirque shows, although it still has plenty of that sort of thing. The acrobatics and other action all move in coordination with the Beatles music. Plus, the music has been mixed and layered to create really unique and amazing sounds (for example, one segment might include layers of 3 or 4 Beatles songs).

And, for some reason, the show always makes me cry at the end. It's just so wonderful... all the amazing visuals and fantastic Beatles music. Easily the best assembled Cirque show I've ever seen. I highly, highly recommend it!

I did see Mystere, back when it was the very first Cirque show in Vegas. I remember I quite enjoyed it, as I do most any Cirque show. But, LOVE wins, hands down.

Love is incredible...I'm a huge Beatles fan and had wanted to see it for years and finally got to do so. I've had the soundtrack a long time, and it was great to see it put to use in the show. If you're a Beatles fan, it is a can't miss...

Thanks everyone for your input, it looks like it will be Love for sure!

You are making the right choice. I've seen all of the Las Vegas Cirque shows except for the Viva Elvis and Love is definitely my favorite of the bunch. I've seen it twice and it was just as good the second time.

I think it depends partly on what you're going for. Looks like I'll be in the minority here :-) I used to work at Cirque (Varekai) and have seen many of the shows live. We've seen all in Vegas except for Elvis and the Criss Angel show. Personally, I'd see Mystere over Beatles. I'm not a huge Beatles fan, but appreciate the music. The sound is amazing, all remixed for this show. Also with surround speakers in each seat, so you are really immersed in the music. But for me, the show was a bit more dance and less acrobatic than other cirque shows. Mystere is my wife's fav in Vegas of all that we've seen. It is "classic" Cirque, well put together, great acrobatic acts and good "clown" acts. For me, it is a little more what I identify as Cirque. LOVE was a little less than that. I've seen it twice (didn't pay either time, 2nd time was completely random!!) and am glad I did. I must admit it was better the 2nd time. But I don't think I'd go and see it again vs the other Cirque shows they have there. But that's just me. If you love Beatles, you'll like this show.

Thanks for the input! I'll talk to my friends and which type of show they prefer. Maybe we can squeeze in both shows.

Have seen them all except the new Elvis one -
Ka is my fave. :cloud9:
Out of those 2 I go to Love
