Just checking the membership extras site. From what I understand, DVC Members may visit the pool areas as long as they check in at the designated area between 8-9 am. Is this what everyone else gathers from this post? We will be staying in Hilton Hawaiian Village on Hilton Grand Vacation points this time, but would love to take the kiddos to visit.

To get a pool wristband, you actually have to be staying at Aulani. What that is referring to is a special DVC line to bypass the regular guests.

Understood. We may have to plan a split stay on the island then.
A split stay would be worthwhile anyway, IMO. Aulani/Ko Olina is very different than the busy atmosphere of Waikiki where HHV is. Plus, its easier to do certain excursions from Aulani than it would be from HHV.

Agreed. We have a lot of HGV points so we go to HHV every summer but we try to do a couple days at Aulani, as well. We plan our Aulani days for just sitting by the pool and floating in the lazy river and save all of the other touristy stuff for when we go to the other side of the island. We love both for different reasons so it's a good balance.
