DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Happy Friday eve guys.

Randall ... Happy retirement day #whatever. I'm thinking days of the week will have way less significance for you now.

Thanks Doc, been that way for awhile now... but after all these years, Monday is still a Monday and Friday is still Awesome.

Pkondz...your schedule is so....well you never know what day it is, so happy whatever number day in your schedule.

So, everyone else, happy Friday eve! :woohoo:

It's a Extra Special Friday Eve! There's a New Rum Ramblings tonight!

Morning gents.
Another day another....

oh nevermind.
I wanna be like Randall and retire.
I think just another 8 years or so.

Pkondz...your schedule is so....well you never know what day it is, so happy whatever number day in your schedule.

Today is my Monday, except I worked on my Friday off and Sunday too. And need to go in two hours early today.

So... get this.

Our supervisor (actually he's the Unit Operations Specialist... and doesn't have any supervisory powers, per se) writes up all the questions (and answers) for our annual proficiency tests. But... to maintain his own proficiency... he has to pass a test too. So... I'm going in early to create a test for him... using the questions that he wrote.

Oh, no. Not bureaucracy at all.

Some temporary good news. The KY Supreme Court ruled Governor Thanos' pension Bill was unconstitutional. So, my retirement is safe until next month when the legislative short session begins. This loss hurts his re-election bid, so he'll do something.

Deja Vu

From the same person who's watched groundhog day at least 12 times. I see a pattern.

Is that 12 consecutive times in the same day? Or, over a lifetime? I like the movie too, but not that much.

That's almost government level right there.

Oh, no. Over a lifetime. Probably not even more than twice in a year.

Almost

What if someone is allergic? DW is.
Thats what gets me. Took my parents 5 years to figure out why I spent every Christmas sick as a dog.

Tree goes up the day after Thanksgiving, which is a holiday for us and everyone participates.
Here too, We do Thanksgiving at my moms house and the next morning all the kids and grand kids get out all the decorations and put them up. I usually get mine out at home the next week.

Last overtime shift of the year for me.
Congrats, enjouy all the extra time off

Man #1 "I gave my wife 9 inches of loving"
Man #2: "How can you do it 3 times in one night".
:rotfl::hyper::rotfl2:

I couldn't do it 3 times in one night, let alone 9.

Sorry to interrupt with a rant, but...

I'm almost to the point of saying to H*LL (and I rarely swear) with the house and I'm just going to rent.
They haven't asked for my first born yet, but I think that's next. Buying a house is supposed to be joyful, but the idiotic requests from "underwriting" are making my blood boil.

First they ask if the earnest money check has cleared. I tell them yes and the date it cleared. Now they want the statement. So....why don't you just ask for the statement showing the check cleared to begin with morons????

On the loan application (which wouldn't let me say no) it asks if I have child care expenses. So, since it wouldn't let me continue saying no, I said yes and put $500. I know my kid costs me way more than that a month. Now they want documentation for my child support I'm paying. Ummm...no...child care expenses and child support are not the same thing!!!!

That's just two, but there are so many more, it's just one after another after another.
I really think underwriting is spelled S A T A N or M O R O N or both.

GET OFF MY LAWN!! Even though right now, I don't even want a lawn.

Man. Sorry to hear you've been having so many issues.
Hopefully it will get resolved without too many more issues and you can go about settling in as opposed to being un-settled.

Do something?

He'll get another Bill passed that's even worse and we will do this all over again. His last changes to the Medicaid requirements here, which again were overturned in Court, required those with disability like a 50 IQ to work in order to be eligible for benefits.

Thats what gets me. Took my parents 5 years to figure out why I spent every Christmas sick as a dog.
:hyper:

DW too. Although, she just couldn't breathe during the Christmas holidays.

They spend Christmas in the shed.

I'll tell DW you said that. Canada won't be welcome to visit anymore.

Rant away, it's what we're here for. I've always found real estate to be a pain, but nothing to the level you're experiencing. I just hope it all works out for you.

Have you ever seen the movie "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel"?
There's a quote from the movie: "In India we have a saying, 'everything will be all right in the end', so if everything is not all right, it simply means you're not yet at the end".
I like that one.

Sorry you're dealing with that, Doc. Hope it settles down and you can work through the issues.

'Morning all...
Only a half day of work and then I'm out'a here.
Headed up into the mountains to eye-witness a rumored commencement ceremony.
Once he crosses that stage we'll know the answer to at lease one question...
Just what the final balance and amount due will be.

Underwriters are a monstrous pain.
Every little thing gets questioned and then re-questioned.
It amazes me that property ever gets bought or sold.
(unless that's just how they treat regular folk and there's a totally different process for corporations and the wealthy)

He'll get another Bill passed that's even worse and we will do this all over again. His last changes to the Medicaid requirements here, which again were overturned in Court, required those with disability like a 50 IQ to work in order to be eligible for benefits.
Sounds a lot like the way things are done 'round here.
It amazes me that folks are so intent on having some group or other to see as lesser humans (or non-humans) that they'll vote against their own interests just to "protect" a belief in their ordained sense of "superiority".

Sorry you are going thru a tough time with that. Sound like you just got a bad underwriter. The good news is "this too shall pass" and you will be a happy homeowner.
